The platforming was one of my favorite parts of the game. It reminded me of Hollow Knight, and in some ways, I think it was even better. I also really liked how some boss fights turn into platforming sections instead of being just straightforward fights. The story is simple but enjoyable, and I liked the map. Traveling from one place to another never felt boring. The character animations were also clearly well made. I also really liked how resources were hidden around the world. Finding upgrade materials often felt like solving small puzzles, and exploring the area to find them was genuinely fun. However, I ran into quite a few bugs. The jump pads are buggy, and the jump button often does nothing while the character keeps spinning. I also frequently got stuck on walls or trapped in certain areas and had trouble getting out. One time, I ended up with a completely blue screen while I was in a sandy area. The game was still running in the background, and even after returning to the main menu and loading the game again, the screen was still blue. It only went back to normal after I completely closed and restarted the game. The boss fights also didn’t feel very meaningful to me. They give you unlimited mana, so I could heal myself whenever I wanted and never really felt much pressure. The attack mechanics weren’t great either. Some attacks are so bright that I sometimes couldn’t even tell whether I was actually hitting the enemy. I would just keep attacking until my health was almost gone, and eventually the enemy would die. The fights didn’t feel particularly engaging. I also didn’t like having to constantly change my active skills. You can only have three skills equipped at a time, so whenever I wanted to use another skill, I had to stop and change them. Most of the upgrades in the village also felt unnecessary. They didn’t really add much and sometimes felt like they were included just to have more upgrades. Another thing that bothered me was the friendly character icons on the map. There are so many of them that it looks like they might give you side quests, but most of them just have a conversation and nothing else happens. Since I actually wanted to do the side quests, I had to talk to every character one by one because some of them really do give quests. It would have been much better if the characters who give side quests had a different icon.

Get it NOW! This is on sale RN, £2.49. It is worth getting at full price, but on sale it is unmissable. And for only £5.61 you can get both games. I have many hours of fun playing these games.

While I preferred some mechanics from the first game, this one did not dissapoint. Story is simple yet amazingly touching and I got really invested in it. Combat is great, with great variety and themes to enemies, though I have some salt with some enemies and bosses, still would whole heartedly reccommend.
