Paralives is going to be something special. Is it all the way there yet? No. it still entertaining as an alternative to the Sims as a hardcore Sims player? Yes. The game is somewhat glitchy on my higher end PC. However, I have not encountered anything game breaking yet. If you're someone who's willing to be part of an early access experience this game has a *lot* to offer. The build mode is phenomenal, the CAP is good but I wish there were a few more options for hairstyles, clothes, etc. The randomized townie paras though look amazing. They all look very diverse without looking just absolutely ridiculous. Live mode is bare bones. That doesn't mean it isn't fun or there isn't gameplay to get through. It's just if you're expecting all the bells and whistles of The Sims, it's not all here. *yet.* If you're interested, give this game a try. It's definitely worth your money,

yea it can be kind of buggy, but as the big blue box mentions, it's early access. devs have done a lot to fix issues as they arise, and out of the 50 hours I've played so far, I've only had 1 issue with "losing progress" from a crash prior to because i suck at manually saving, but now the game has autosaves. you have a lot of freedom when building, and there's no AI. I would give this, as it sits, a 7.8/10...with more updates and DLC I can definitely see this becoming an 8.7/10

It's buggy but it's early access so beware, other than that it's the OG sims, with a few gameplay tweaks, very fun very open. devs are cooking
FIRST THING FIRST
if you want a real review and not someone blindly glazing the game, here’s my honest take. And to be fair, I LOVE The Sims. I’m a Sims player myself, with a heavily modded game and a huge amount of files. But honestly, some Sims players are getting out of hand with the comparisons.
SECOND
you can’t really compare The Sims and Paralives directly. The Sims 4 has been around since 2014 and is backed by a huge company with a large development team. Paralives, meanwhile, has only been in early access for a short time and is being developed by a much smaller team. Obviously, the scale, resources, and development time are completely different.
THIRD
buying Paralives in early access is literally a way of supporting the developers and helping fund the game's continued development. Your purchase contributes to the development process, including improvements, bug fixes, and future content. I genuinely don't understand why some people act surprised that an early-access game still needs development.
FOURTH
yes, some of the items and content can feel empty or limited right now. But... IT'S EARLY ACCESS. The game hasn't even reached its first anniversary in early access, yet people are already expecting it to have the amount of content and polish of a game that's been around for years. And yes, you might encounter bugs. That's literally one of the main points of early access. Bugs don't automatically mean they're going to stay forever. You can report them and give feedback so the developers can identify problems and work on fixing them.
YOU ARE PAYING TO PLAY THE GAME EARLY. THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED EARLY ACCESS.
You are NOT buying a completely finished game yet. You're getting access while the developers are still building, improving, testing, and expanding it. So if you're expecting a fully polished game with years' worth of content right now, you probably shouldn't be buying an early-access game in the first place. You should already expect bugs, missing features, limited content, and things that will change over time. That's the entire point of early access. You're choosing to buy it before it's finished, so obviously, you're buying it at your own risk.
REVIEW

The art style is genuinely cute and cozy, which makes the game feel unique and gives it its own identity.
The bugs are definitely there and need to be fixed, but they're understandable considering the game is still in early access.
The opening scenes are a great touch and help make the game feel unique right from the beginning.
The interactions are also one of the game's interesting features. They make the characters feel more like actual humans rather than lifeless NPCs. I hope the developers continue expanding the interactions to make the world feel even more alive.
The building mode is honestly one of the BEST parts of the game. The freedom it gives players to build and design their own spaces is amazing. I just hope they continue adding more furniture, decorations, and other items to give players even more creative freedom.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
If you're still debating whether to buy or play the game, just remember that you're buying it at your own risk. Paralives still needs a lot of development, bug fixes, and additional content because it's an early-access game. However, if you enjoy life simulation games and want to experience Paralives while it's still being developed, supporting the developers isn't necessarily a bad thing. Your purchase helps fund the game's continued development, and you get to experience its potential as it grows. Just don't expect a fully finished game right now. If you're willing to accept the bugs, limited content, and unfinished features, then you might enjoy the experience. But if you prefer a complete and polished game, you might want to wait for future updates. At the end of the day, Paralives has potential, but it still has a long way to go.
