Geck
Lizards. Big fan. This is a good game, but has obvious flaws that keep it from being great. This game excels in its artistry. The music is amazing and the environmental sounds are just as good. The art direction and world design are also well put together. The story is complex enough, yet simple enough to grasp easily. The addition of the critters brings so much life into the game. Overall this game does everything that you would want the game to do. Despite my love for the game, there are a few glaring issues. The biggest of which is the terrain gaps. In numerous locations across the islands I found places where the terrain isn't placed properly allowing me to get into areas that I shouldn't be able to (not like a skip, but like a crevice or hole that shouldn't be accessible). The most obvious one was on the left in front of the Volcano island gate where the texture was warped near the bottom of the rock. There were other areas, but most were less obvious and you'd have to be looking for them to even notice. Another issue I had was in completing the Desert Island. Because I had completed the Volcano Island before the Desert Island, when I was going up the elevator after clearing the Desert, it triggered the Volcano gate opening sequence and my character glitched underneath the map. Luckily I found a way out. Those were my main immersion breaks, the other issues I have are rather negligible comparatively. All in all though, a good game.
Very cozy and cute exploration game, would absolutely recommend trying it out! I really enjoyed movement, it's so cool to move as a lil gecko :3 Took just under 7 hours to 100% (just missing one achievement).

This might be my favorite game of the year. Gecko mechanics are as silly and well-executed as I was hoping for. A whole lot of scampering and little wall hops. Some big jumps from tall places. Crawling through tight spots deep beneath the surface. Very interesting world building implications through environmental storytelling. Wasn't expecting customization, but it adds a whole other layer of fun. Great music. Great everything really. One or two small bugs, but nothing game breaking or truly bothersome. The vast majority of bugs in the game can be eaten by lizard to assert dominance.
A super cute little puzzler! Lovely visual style and the scrabbling gecko animations literally never got old. Most of the puzzles were on the easy side for a chill time, with a couple that really had me scratching my head (though I ended up figuring them all out without guides). There's also a nice amount of collectibles, most of them you will run into just adventuring around, making it a low-stress experience for collectors. The relics are almost all found behind puzzles rather than squirreled away in some far-flung corner you would never think to look, which I also appreciated. It's a short game (100% in 8.5 hours), but it's a cute and fun time if you like casual puzzlers and pretty visuals!
