Solid, fun arcade shooter that 110% honors the movies- down to the sound design.
I was expecting this to be another corporate cash grab type game but was very surprised it wasn't. The game is very faithful to the original movies and I ran into no bugs whatsoever. It runs and looks amazing, the soundtrack is great and the writing is pretty good as well. Only nitpick I have with it is sometimes the animations look stiff. I'd give it a 9/10
PRO: You'll feel like a damn Panzerkampfwagen while playing this game. It's fun. CON: just like controlling a tank, controlling Robocop means you'll move around slowly. But he is unstoppable!
It's OK. I would say mixed thoughts on this one. Still has the charm of the movie but still lacks some pizzazz in it. I will give huge props for the visuals and graphics being stellar hands down giving nice feeling for Detroit and how everything looks so real. Thus I played the whole experience on hard difficulty but in essence of its own gunplay it's fairly there with lots of gun options. Still you'll be sticking with your 9mm powerful modified handgun and you are able to customize it with sets and modifications found throughout the hub world or missions given being collectibles or OCP boxes. Voice acting is decent though animation shows how budget-y everything feels with models interacting and talking to you. It has charm but it's not quite there yet as everything feels so robotic and sluggish how characters emote next to you or express themselves so have to live with some sacrifices. The gore being general blood and head popping is... eh? Very timid I'd say. Soundtrack is alright as well, tries to copy same instance something to follow along providing something that the game goes with from 1st and 2nd installments of the movies with the plot being mixed as well. Other niches would be that you sometimes don't have proper cover ups in dire places, where either mounted turrets, mini-bosses and snipers can get you and you run out of healing equipments or spare reserve ammo to deal with 'em. Resulting constant deaths here and there. Additionally checkpoints that you restart are very chummy how game determines where you have to load and retry your progress. And look I get that Murphy is a robot being slow and he can have dash ability to walk faster in hub worlds or indoor segments but come on, why do I have to go so slow when I have the ability to dash? Feels like such a waste of upgrade and you can't even use it so what's the point about 70% of the entirety of the game? Ending plot was... eh as well, a bit too extended fight just to finish the game. My final regard of the game would be how rendering takes lots of complex idea where it can lag and lose frames in certain places, you get beautiful scenery but lacking speedy action as you stutter with frame drops. If you do want to experience the game for movie vibes then I am sure it captures some of its core gameplay and aspects providing like so.
