If anything happened to Fynn, I'd kill everyone in this room and then myself. If Fynn has no fans, I am dead. The only reason why I wake up every single day is Fynn. I will protect him, I want to see him grow healthy, I want to tell my friends and neighbors about him,
Fun game
Flawed, but adorable, and deeply nostalgic. Let me address some of the complaints I've seen for this game: 1. "The controls are awful/bad/unplayable" Answer: They are a little awkward, yes, but you get used to them in like, less than an hour. Also, you get a fair amount of in-game upgrades to make it much more manageable. So if you're going to read into a negative review, make sure they have at least 2 hours in the game before taking them seriously. 2. "The puzzles are too hard" Answer: Not really, with one exception. Most puzzles here require a bit more than two neurons, so they're not that bad. The final world, however, is much more cryptic and frustration. On that one, yes. 3. "The speedrunning/platforming elements don't fit well and ruin the experience." Answer: I never felt the need to use the movement tech to complete the game. It's perfectly doable with just your walking, jumping, and gliding. That being said, if you're going for all the collectibles, then yes, you'll be using a whole lot more things (unless you get the final upgrade which completely ignores these) And now a brief list of my experience: THE GOOD: + Nostalgic aesthetic that's reminiscent of Nights, Spyro, and Banjo + Beautiful soundtrack. Probably the best I've heard in 2026 + Fynn is the most adorable protagonist I've seen in a while, and everything about him is adorable + A surprising amount of hidden lore and a dark backstory + Collecting is quite fun THE BAD - It's a little awkward to get used to the controls - Some puzzles are not as intuitive as the dev would like them to be (Looking at you, Starfish) - The final world is much less clear as to how to progress it, and some of the puzzles are frustrating. I honestly found this to be the weakest part of the game. SUMMARY: It's a great pick for fans of old N64 era games, or people who want an adorable, cozy experience. If you're going for 100% though, keep a guide in handy. My advice is to push against the awkward controls in the early game, and you'll find that it becomes much smoother as you progress. Easy 8.2/10
Level design is astonishing: the areas are varied and unique in both mechanics and visuals. Puzzles are decent, secrets are not too obscure (managed to find everything by myself), there is even some postcredit stuff to explore. Music is dreamy and relaxing, really good. Graphics try to mimick N64 games and do that succesfully. My only complaint is the way the blur filter (enabled by default but can be turned off) makes some darker/underwater areas annoying to look at, which made me turn it on and off regularly.
A cute lil nostalgia trip that feels reminiscent of the good ol collect-a-thons on the N64. I highly recommend!
