Hmmm. VERY tentative Thumbs Up - we'll see how it develops. The thing is - its so incredible to look at that is very easy to forget that this is a game. The artists on the team are out of this world, I honestly feel like I'm walking through a new Conan movie. Its not just the quality of assets, its the way they're placed around the environments. It is all so believable, its quite incredible to look at. Which brings me to why "tentative TU" - this is, pretty much, the only fun thing I had. Out of 53 minutes (and one random crash) I think I walked around forty-five minutes and fought the remainder. The fighting just isn't grabbing me. Its not that the controls are bad or that you don't feel the weight or anything like that - its more that it doesn't really engage me, even tho there are some quite obvious things added, like oily floors you can set on fire or spikes that you can kick enemies into. I just didn't see the need - they were super simple to dispatch without being hit even with just mindless button mashing and some dodging. We'll see where this game goes - I really hope these are just growing pains, because, well, I am quitting this game to go play Hexen expansion. Sure, I'm an old fart and biased - but I guess this choice says at least something about which experience I find more engaging. But, lets be fair - for the money that Fatekeeper costs, you can do a LOT worse!
so far so good, nice hack and slash fight that make me use the consumable i craft and not hoard them! Also i love the old oblivion feel of having a button to cast a spell and not switch from weapon to spell.
Absolutely blown away by what I have seen and played so far. I wish nothing but the best for the devs making this.
Game looks great and the gameplay was smooth for me but I feel like had I not gone afk to do things several times it would only have been an hour of gameplay which isnt a lot without some replayability. For the price if you're looking for a quick hack and slash with some spells then get to chopping.
Glorified tech demo, combat is annoying. Melee Enemies swarm you and do tons of damage while archers that basically never miss shoot at you, constantly running out of health. Very frustrating combat loop. If you like pretty games I'd recommend it lol.
