In Clover's Quadrants, your four directions of movement correspond with four different inventory slots: Up, down, left, and right. Pick up an item on your left side, and now that item's ability will be used every time you move left! This simple premise is explored in depth, with many items and mechanical surprises to discover. Items hurt just as often as they help.
Clover's Quadrants aims to be a difficult-but-fair experience. Players less experienced with Sokoban puzzles should expect a challenge! If you are a more seasoned puzzler, don't expect a cakewalk either.

UDLR_Modify was originally created for the Acerola Jam 0 as a prototype with 20 puzzles, where it was among the most popular games submitted. Clover's Quadrants is the full-length follow up to that game, keeping the best puzzles from the original while adding many more, adding new item types, and modifying some of the base mechanics.

Very novel and rewarding puzzle game! Really loving it!!!
Excellent sokoban game that I found to be surprisingly challenging. It's pretty easy to understand the main hook of the game - your four movement directions also serve as inventory slots that can do things like modify movement in that direction or act as a magnet to let you pull objects, for example - but there start to be interesting interactions between everything that really ramp things up. The one tile that took me a little bit to wrap my head ahead is the light blue colored one, which I personally dubbed the 'baby bird' tile since it lets you absorb a tile and then barf it out in a different direction :) I found a lot of the challenge came from some of the solution setups being quite complicated. There were a decent amount of levels where I had a pretty good idea how to solve the level, but couldn't get everything moved into the correct spot to save my life. In that regard, the hint system in this game is brilliant; you can basically get a snapshot of the locations of everything that serves as a stepping stone to the final solution. It was often quite helpful in giving me a nudge down the right path. Other than that, the presentation is great; the visuals are an abstract painterly sort of vibe that make staring at the difficult puzzles slightly more pleasant while you are racking your brain. Super neat game!

Currently on the last challenge level of the third world and I think I'm at a point where this is an easy recommendation. If you love sokoban, this is a fresh take offering a real challenge, that will firmly lodge its logic in your noodle. It's beautiful, the music is great, and the puzzles are brilliant.

excellent sokoban game. lots of interesting interactions between the different tiles and plenty of very satisfying aha/epiphany moments whilst finding solutions. i particularly enjoyed the process of sort of 'solving backwards' on some levels, identifying what your final setup would have to be and then trying to work out how to get there. has a really nice difficulty curve and also a nice sense of progression as a couple of the introduced tiles (blue especially!) are initially a bit confounding but eventually become very intuitive to use. additionally, the art is incredible! the backgrounds in each level are each a painting in themselves and the overall presentation is superb. big props to the devs
