This game is not very good. The dialogue was ahh, the two main characters sucked. Felt like I was just sitting there with my friend while a couple argued infront of us (that is literally what we did). Felt like a waiting sim aswell, the fricking driving took ages and obviously only one person can drive but then the other is just waiting there (playing cow clicker probs(the best part of the game)). Then i took a bath and my friend had to go get towels but he took ages i was waiting for so long and couldnt do anything. Then after that there was a bunch of chase scenes except you had no clue where to go so you just kept dieing over and over until you finally got into a closet but then you accidently cough or something and die. and thats basically the whole game. Do not recommend at all but it def could have been good, i think the dev just isnt used to making coop games. Dunno how people are rating positive, i guess sometimes was funny (never scary except for one or two jumpscares which come out of nowhere and there isnt any point for them. but def not worth the price at all, maybe if it was $1. Didn't come across any bugs except for one time one of the npcs was invis
I see the vision, but the vision wasnt written right. I swear bro those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little fat chase scenes made me want to kms. I would be hiding, breathe, then die and caught and restart another 4 minutes. At least make the sound that you can go hide without being caught not a woosh sound no one is noticing. Also, frickin hate the part where you get chased out the house with no flash light so you needa guess where to go with trial and error and if you are wrong you restart the whole chase sequence again. Frick ts.
cool
-commits the cardinal sin of horror games over and over and over: it puts you in a situation where you're likely to mess up because you dont know exactly what the game wants you to do, and when you inevitably mess up it serves you a jumpscare and reloads to the moment immediately before you messed up. hopefully i dont have to tell this developer, who has made several spooky games at this point, why this is a problem. -the entire game, even the first sequence where you are just loading boxes into a car in broad daylight for ten minutes, is plastered with super freaking scary music. the effect of this is exactly opposite of what i imagine was intended. -this is a co-op game with proximity voice chat where the main characters talk at each other constantly. i hope you like talking OVER in-game dialogue to communicate with your friend. feels not so good. -the voice acting is awful... im sorry, i know that isnt a very kind thing to say but there's no other way to put it. it's exactly the kind of amateur hackish VA that you hear in like... newgrounds flash games. like it's sooooo good for someone who was paid 100 dollars and recorded it with their elite home recording setup (a rode nt1 plugged into a focusrite scarlett solo in a room that "sounds super dead i promise"). i know these games make a lot of money. it's time to call SAG AFTRA. please. PLEASE. -story boils down to "you are a black person whose car breaks down in the middle of nowhere amongst a bunch of insane christo-fascist culty white folks, there's a spooky door in their house that you arent allowed in. you'll NEVER GUESS WHAT THEY'RE DOING IN THERE!" except you will guess, you will guess immediately and you will not be surprised even one time by the whole construction of the scenario, or the characters, or how it resolves, or anything. -the two main characters are insufferable. they have one of those annoying story relationships that gestures at being strained for a variety of reasons but actually they just suck at communicating, not because that's how they were intended to come across, but because the person writing them doesn't know how to make them communicate. the writing of these two is so bad that the person I was playing with laughed out loud and blew our cover during the touching resolution of their relationship arc. -the way these games are constructed is so annoying. you go to do a thing and some text appears on the screen saying "i did a different thing." i understand the framing, it's a story being told after the fact. but the effect on gameplay is that you just get told continuously, with text on the screen, what the next thing you're supposed to do is, but only after trying something else and probably hitting an invisible wall. sucks!! -i was "scared" two times, by which i mean there were two jumpscares that happened to me in about 90 minutes of playtime. there was otherwise no tension, even during an extended locked-in-a-basement moment where i caught myself thinking "boy, i should be feeling uneasy right now." i think these games perform very well in youtube videos where you can get a good thumbnail off a small handful of jumpscares and then ignore the rest of the game. actually playing them reveals flaws. we really should be doing so much better than this.
