I get why people are criticizing it, because yeah, it definitely has issues and it probably needed more time before release. The save problems, co-op issues, camera, and lack of variety are all fair complaints. But some of the hate is way over the top for what the game actually is. Its a $20 AA game from a relatively small core team, not a $70 AAA release with hundreds of full time devs behind it. For the price, the combat, art style, animations, armor/weapons, music, and overall presentation are honestly really solid. People keep comparing it to games with way bigger budgets and way more development time, then acting like its bad because it doesnt have the same amount of content. Thats not really a fair comparison. I enjoy the game, but im not saying its complete or perfect. It needs more content, more enemy variety, better progression, and obviously the technical stuff fixed. But the actual foundation is good, and thats the harder part to get right. To me its more of a good game that released too early than a bad game. If they actually stick with it and add/fix what theyve already talked about, I think the opinion around it could change a lot.
pretty good
The developers need to get their act together on this one. The game still crashes on startup and at random. The new patch did little/nothing to fix stability. Had I not invested the time, I would have absolutely requested a refund. $20 makes it seem like a deal... if it works.
This might be one of the worst games I’ve played. The gameplay is incredibly repetitive, and when you die, you have to go all the way back to the first level or district, which gets frustrating very quickly. I really wanted to like this game, but I just don’t find it enjoyable or rewarding. There’s not enough variety or progression to keep me interested, and it quickly started to feel like I was doing the same thing over and over again. Save your money—I do not recommend it.
Fun game, beat the 3rd boss on normal, few things need to improve: Custom Controls Not compiling shaders every time When buying a blue vs common gear, it should stay that color, not go to normal when buying a blue.
