loved this game. it was unique and fun
A really enjoyable entry into the tidy up subgenre, with different area introducing different objects to tidy up, and all with colour coding and symbols to assist with identifying and sorting into certain areas. My only gripes are as follows: - Jumping. The landing noise when you jump is so very loud and jarring for what is otherwise a pretty calm experience. - The Final Level. For the most part, the sorting system worked. Orange potions with orange container, yellow with yellow, white with white... and then near the end there are numerous shades of teal and green that are an absolute menace. Purple tins went with green. Black tins with teal. Why the sudden switch? It makes the final level a little unsatisfying to see these glaring colour differences amongst an otherwise harmonious room. I don't understand the choice at all. Beyond those issues, I honestly had such a good time with this that it's actually been the first of this kind of game that I played through start to finish, first try, without using any of the powers. The powers are fine of course, and the usual sort you come to expect with these games, but the visual cues to distinguish items was enough for me. Aside from the initial Tarot room, it doesn't matter what order you place items onto the shelves as long as they're all the same item - no volume 1-2-3-etc. so there wasn't a lot of stress about getting them in the right order. Plus, items within the same areas in the final room all had differences about their shape. It was a brilliant way to have variety. Very enjoyable! I look forward to the update where they combine all the levels into one giant area.
I love that with many of the sorting games, you can just sit back and organize to your hearts content. Which I do as I tend to just zone out and before I know it realize that an hour has passed by just by sorting. The colors and textures of the game are good as well when running on my computer. I think the only real problem that I had with the game was when doing the first level, for some reason a card was missing and that I had to restart it to fix it. I'm looking forward to seeing more magic or items dealing with magic such as: Crystals, herbs (both made up and in real life), books/grimoire, cauldrons, runes, candles and so on and so forth.
Loved it. Not all of the organization games that are coming out are created equal but I thought this was great.
Entertaining with decent gameplay, but needs work. Thoughts: 1) VERY short 2) Needs either a "free play" or "new game+" mode where your spells are unlocked from the start. 3) Lots of bugs with spells suddenly not working or items not behaving properly when moved. 4) First level should do a better job explaining gameplay and what buttons/keys do. (Played the whole thing not knowing I could hit C to make dirt glow for better visibility) I think with a few more patches and content drops, this could be more worth you time and have better replay value other than chasing that achievement to finish in 3 hours.
