Approximately Up is your best chance to experience spaceflight in whatever you and your crew (singleplayer or co-op multiplayer with up to 4 players) can bolt together! Build ambitious spaceships, experimental machines, or anything in between — it’s entirely up to you. Control your creation from a first-person view right from the deck of your ship.
Take on a story with around 200 hours of gameplay, complete challenging objectives, hunt achievements, face the dangers of space, and collect new components to expand your current spacecraft — or completely rethink it and build something new. One is never enough!
Everything begins with a single piece of frame and grows into a massive, complex ship built from thousands of components. Create automated systems, PID controllers, experiment with different input controllers, sensors, and meters — connect them to whatever you need, and let the magic (or chaos) happen! Once it looks ready (or not), hit launch and see what happens!
Retrieve a package stuck in a giant tree. Crack open a mystic rock with a bomb. Fix a distant planet’s broken ionosphere to stop its extreme winds. Find mystic or radioactive flowers. Track down ancient mastodons, heat up a strange hexagonal crystal, or dive deep underwater ... Can you and your spaceship handle it all?
Who forgot to connect that cable? Why is the thruster mounted backward? Are the solar panels enough? Does the door even have a button? Is the radar working?
That’s where a lot of the fun begins. Play in co-op with up to 4 players and build complete spaceships, automated systems, logic circuits, PID controllers, and more. Every system matters, and even small design mistakes can turn into very real problems once you leave the station.
Or jump into a Creative world with unrestricted building and create whatever comes to mind.
Is the planet covered in oceans? What’s hiding beneath that thick atmosphere? Can you see the surface through those massive clouds? Everything’s waiting for you to find out! Explore 15 unique planets, each with its own look, feel, and dynamic soundtrack that changes in real time as you explore and make new discoveries!
You start on Earth and slowly explore a system of 15 planets, each with its own size, gravity, atmosphere, temperature, and challenges. Most planets have one or more Planet Stations, which work as checkpoints and garages where you can build ships and start new missions. Once discovered, a station stays unlocked as a new launch point.
To reach these planets, you build your own modular spaceships using electric engines, fuel engines, mixed fuels, solar panels, heat-resistant frames, and more. By completing missions, you unlock new ship parts and take on stranger challenges - from cracking mystic rocks with bombs to fixing planetary conditions, finding ancient creatures, or diving deep into the Green Trench. Some missions even leave a permanent effect on the world.
All flights are fully first-person, and because distances are huge, your ship design really matters - some trips take only minutes, while others can become long journeys if your ship is weak.

I had a life before. But now I HAVE SPACESHIPS But really, very good game been a while I haven't found something so good. My inner KSP fan loves this.
I've sank so many hours into this game already. The freedom to build, fly (and possibly crash) your own planes and spacecraft, with logic gates and smart components making for almost endless possibilities, limited mostly just by your own creativity. Great fun.

Still early days, but this game scratches the hell out of the space sim/KSP itch. If you're the kind of person who gets lost in the weeds building stupid and/or complex designs in your sim games, or you spend way too long designing circuits in something like Factorio, this is for you.
Multiplayer Kerbal that actually works!
