The game started out fun. But it just feels repetitive and boring. And that starts to really show how weak the other systems of the game are. The research gambling is just mindless boring clicking. There's no built in way to easily sort out junk equipment. So I just let my inventory clog full of useless garbage. And then you look at mods for this stuff and there's dozens of choices and none of them actually make any more sense. Trying to control large groups of ships in combat is sluggish and the AI controlling the ships is unintelligent at best. Attack orders result in firing less than half the time. The tutorials either come up too late and teach things already known, or don't make any sense when they do appear on time. The in game encyclopedia has no helpful information. There's no way to tell what effects each material has, so no way to know what parts to upgrade. At some point this game started to feel more like work than relaxation. So I'm putting it down.
