Backpack Dungeon

This game is incredibly shallow. When you frist open it you are amazed with the description of the items, you think about all the interesting ways how to make them interact. Then you actually arange them and reaslise that it doesn`t work. Not because of some explicit reason, but just because the Claude or whatever was making this game didn`t account for that interaction. In general the base game concept is fun and interesing, first 1-2 runs also are. But afterwards you realise that everything else is puddle level deep. The meta-progression is boring and uninteresting, combos are uninteresting, all art is AI and as a result - ALSO BORING. And the fact that developer decided to uniornically add SLIDING PUZZLE!!! as an random encounter says the most about the effort, put into this game. This game is entirely AI made, AI designed and should probably be played also by AI. The descripion "Some pixel art assets (item icons, monster sprites) were created with AI assistance." is incredibly misleading, since it forgets to mention that all the desgin process was also "AI assisted" in a worst possible way. Also look at the patch notes, dev doesn`t even bother with removing ChatGPTs formatting for the patches, straight up slop

Its so good! it deserve so much more attention!

I absolutely do not recommend this game. The entire thing looks and feels like AI. The battle system is only satisfying for the first few rounds. There is no clear guide to how to synthesize new items. The monsters/enemies are the same as any other game.
