Brave New Wonders is a factory automation and base-building simulation set in a post-apocalyptic far future. Build sprawling production lines, optimize every system, and command intelligent robots that follow the commands you write in plain language. Part factory builder, part city builder rising from the ruins, it puts a civilization's revival in your hands. No conveyor belts and no coding: it’s just you and your army of automatons.
Mine ore and crystal, smelt them into refined materials, and craft increasingly complex components along branching production lines, all powered by an expanding energy network. One factory is never enough: link factories, warehouses, and logistics routes, then optimize throughput and sharpen your resource management. Unlock blueprints to copy, paste, and mass-duplicate whole layouts in seconds, and cloned automatons keep their tasks, so expansion stays fast.
Intelligent automatons move materials by following your commands. Start with simple presets, then program your robots in plain language, any language, with no coding required. The behaviour editor guides you as you write: tell an automaton to 'move between A, B, and C in order,' or set conditional logic like "When RED signal is detected at warehouse, pick up crystal compound from general factory and deposit it at warehouse."
Buildings and factories broadcast coloured signals and react to each other so that you can wire programmable systems across your whole base. If you can describe it, odds are your automatons can pull it off.
Civilization fell thousands of years ago, and the new era remembers nothing. As a Pioneer, explore the atmospheric ruins of the old world, some still guarded by hostile machines. Battle is inevitable: strategically place your gun turrets, clear barriers with dynamite, and claim a weapon relic to fight back against threats. Gather relics that shape your world and uncover a story-rich mystery: what truly happened to humanity?
Unlock the ancient Sky Pillar and build your first Wonder: a massive airship that doubles as an airborne fleet of factories. Travel between distinct islands and continents, each with its own biomes, resources, and breakthroughs, from the snowy reaches of Europe to an ancient humanoid robot that still remembers the old world. Your base flies with you, so exploration never stops.
Command automatons that obey plain-language commands. No conveyor belts, no coding.
Build, automate, and optimize vast factories across an open world.
Gather resources, craft components, and manage sprawling production and logistics networks.
Explore a post-apocalyptic, story-rich world and uncover the mystery of humanity's fall..
Travel between islands and continents aboard your airship, an airborne fleet of factories.
A single-player, atmospheric 3D factory automation simulation, shaped hand-in-hand with its community.
No illustrations, 3D models, textures, animations, sound effects, music, voice performance, or story in Brave New Wonders were generated by AI. We do not condone the use of generative AI that denies artists fair compensation or diminishes the meaning of their work.
The game’s text-based command system runs through an AI model whose only purpose is to parse your plain text commands in any language to generate a behaviour graph. However, if you prefer not to use the command system, you can bypass this feature by manually piecing together the graph instead.

This feels like the factory game i've always wanted. The AI tool is really cool and greatly increases the playing experience. 10/10

This is a total gem in the factory automation genre. The thing that makes it stand out is the accessibility of it. It's not simple by any means, but the devs have made figuring out its complex systems a smooth experience. Developing the world and optimizing your output is addictive and the unique thing is that you don't need to study a wiki or have a deep understanding of coding to get into it. There's a "vibe coding" element, where you can type in plain language what you want automated and the game sorts out the code logic for you. It's still challenging, but it takes out a lot of frustration out of learning the game's own logic. This mechanic works surprisingly well, I've never quite seen anything like it in other games. The steampunk art design and presentation is good as well. There's a kind of techno-optimist theme rather than the cold grit and grime of some other factory type games. It has a Final Fantasy type of feel. As for the price, the devs are very easy to support. Toronto-based indie dev, and they are actively passionate about improving their games, and they are against AI slop, so it's totally worth the money. Plus, you can sink a lot of hours into it if you have a city-builder type of mentality where you appreciate the complexity of what you built.

Interesting concept....it is just not fun. Too much micromanagement and no clear way to scale up. Maybe the introduction of various tech needs to be reshuffled. Right now it is unnecessarily complex w/o providing same satisfaction as other games in the genre. Graphics are great.

I rarely do reviews You took a great game concept and turned it into an AI nightmare, I don't want to have to talk to an AI every time i want to simply set a red or green signal then tell the AI to take from box a or b for every annoying puzzle, almost 8 hours is more than a fair amount of time to give a valid revive If I had known half of the game logic was AI I'd never have brought this game, It's never lazy to use so much AI for game logic Also in what era or world would not use a belt to feed buildings and Automate a game, instead it's extremely messy, this is not exactly automation it's a new ugly concept

I like this game. Managing trade network across 4 continents is fairly easy, the true difficulty is managing "traffic lights" (damn nuclear reactor)
