While I loved There is no Game: Wrong dimension, I didn't really feel this one. You might enjoy it though, it's very unique.
yes
really good game for people who like movies. Thankfully I do like movies. Not especially difficult and the hint system is completely no-consequence so it really seems to be more about experiencing the narrative than overcoming any kind of challenge. Fine for people who like that kind of game. Like me. Real review done.
I need this game to blow up on the sherlock side of tumblr so Emmet PlaceHolder can become a sexyman. He's too cute. I have to destroy him. I want 500 dramatic drawings of him on my dash immediately.
amazing game
I completed the game before making this review and did not skip cutscenes. Crushed in Time, while charming in premise, does not meet my expectations for a puzzle game following There Is No Game. The narrative arc starts off charming and the initial chapters have engaging and clever challenges, but as the game goes on the story starts to burden the game and forces you through multiple hours of tedious story based quick-time events rather than challenging your problem solving and reasoning skills. In short, the story can be told in thirty seconds but is instead drawn out though five hours of mouse clicks. Crushed in Time should have stripped the tedious "Do you have eyeballs and a working index finger?" mouse movement checks and excess peril-as-story filler removed from its own Wall of Fate. However, I suspect that if the game was trimmed and a player skipped the cutscenes there would less than 2 hours of content offered which would expose DMAP's revenue to chronic Steam refunds. Big props to the music composition, UI designers, and the voice actors for polishing the hell out of an otherwise unimpressive title. If you want an engaging puzzle experience I would recommend you look elsewhere. If you want a casual puzzle game with an engaging story, I would also recommend you look elsewhere.
