Chose a knight class. Didn't equip anything else just the starter armor, and a sword. Character is fat rolling, so the game is basically unplayable.
Going through Blighttown for the first time is an experience I think I will never forget; I took the route of playing this game as a heavy tank, using the Black Knight Halberd and Stone Armor Set and got into "slapboxxing" matches with Gwyn and Manus. So many great fights are in this game; Kalameet, Sir Artorias, and Ornstein/Smough are some of my favorites from this game. This is a game that is absolutely a blast. I'm so glad that one of my friends put me on this series of games because the unforgiving nature of this game is one of it's most appealing qualities. Several (but not all) games are made with a lot of hand holding and eliminate problem solving skills, but this one is one of the ones that forces you to either use your brain to come up with a plan or ask a friend for info.
