A very good game, worth playing, increadible story and makes you reflect on your desicions. It makes you take hard choices and truly makes you wonder about the meaning of being alive, and how open you are to new ideas, a great game. 9/10
Where to even begin. The visuals are stunning and all three driving plot lines are achingly wonderful. I've never played a game quite like it and feel that I never will. Easily one of my most favorite games. The most "intense" games I've played prior to DBH are Overwatch and BG3 lol so if you can handle those games, you should be fine here. If you love being able to make choices in games, you'll love DBH. It's really cool to see the different resulting branches, and makes it more fun to replay chapters. 10/10
**BEAUTIFUL GEMSTONE, HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST STORY GAMES OUT THERE**
I was waiting for so long for this game to go on sale so I could finally buy it, and after finishing it I can say my overall experience was amazing. The story, the characters, the art, the world, everything is so beautiful. I was wondering if they were working on a second game for this franchise and unfortunately they are not, such a missed opportunity. I love almost everything about this game, including the little things they added like Chloe's personality in the main menu, the surveys, the magazines, and all those small details that made the world feel more alive. All of that was really well thought out. There are a couple things I didn't like though. One of the biggest problems is that a lot of the decisions use such poor wording to represent what your character is actually about to say or do. It sometimes felt like asking an AI to do a task for you and then watching it completely misunderstand what you meant. One example I remember is a conversation between Connor and Hank where one of the options was something about companionship. I thought Connor was gonna have a friendly conversation with Hank about their relationship, but instead he starts telling Hank how horrible he is for buying food from crackheads. And that is just one example out of many. A lot of the time you select something and have absolutely no idea how the character is actually going to react. They also should have chosen better wording for some of the actions because nobody talks like that and sometimes you don't even know what the hell the option is supposed to mean. The confrontation between Markus and Connor is a perfect example because you get an option like "Don't Trust," but you're not even completely sure who you are controlling at that moment because the game keeps switching between the characters during the scene. If they ever make a second game, they seriously need better writing for the choices the player makes because this game has way too many vague ones. My first playthrough was the pacifist route and I successfully completed it, and man, it was painful sometimes. For the pacifist playthrough you basically have to think like a damn liberal and choose peace no matter what, even when some of the decisions feel completely irrational. In a real life situation, some of those stupid choices would absolutely not have worked out the way they do here. I also understand why some people criticize how quickly the relationship between North and Markus develops because I definitely felt that too. I struggled more trying to build a friendly relationship with Hank than I did getting Markus into a romantic relationship with North. I also don't think they will ever come back and fix the problems the game still has, but if they ever do, they seriously need to improve the chapter selection system. People shouldn't feel like they need to mess up or delete their entire first playthrough just because they want to go back and experiment with different endings and decisions. Besides all of that, the game is absolutely beautiful and easily one of the best story games I have played. I recommend it 100%.
