An outside threat reaches your homeland, a quiet northern island. You play as Fjør, a young warrior among those born under the Fate of the Guardian, blessed with exceptional combat prowess. But that alone is not enough to defeat the invaders and protect what's sacred to your people.
Walking the path of a Warden, explore the island above and below the surface: forgotten caves and ominous forests, gloomy catacombs and sacred ruins, where you shall fight hordes of monsters, discover well-hidden secrets and harness ancestral legacy.
Inspired by the best of the hack-and-slash genre, Divinum has a wide range of options to master and experiment with. Launch enemies into the air, where they are unable to act or escape while Fjør gains access to unique moves. Unleash unstoppable combos with two distinct primary weapons and special skills. Leave your foes no chance with quick dodges, blocks, and parries.
Explore the world, look for secrets and fight bosses to find Runes that meaningfully change how you fight. A +5% damage item? You won't find anything this boring in Divinum. Runes can provide anything from solid unique bonuses to modifiers that can completely change how you approach battles — but great power often comes with trade-offs.
Across the island, dangerous trials and ancient evil await you. Conquer them all and claim generous rewards!

Justamente el juego que estaba buscando... buenos movimientos, buen desarrollo y buena historia (y podría ampliarse).
Not bad. Story: Pretty simple, invaders from across the sea came to get ahold of the remains of an ancient being to try and resurrect them. That being was split into two, held by Guardians until then. That's about it. Platforming: Okay, it is designed good, but it isn't quite right. Always feels like the jump spacing isn't quite enough. Which makes things a bit bad to work with. Combat: Smooth and responsive. With runes for enhancements and whatnot. Problem: Many runes aren't useful, they are a straight out negative with no purpose to use them. There are really only a handful that is useful. As well as, your damage doesn't noticeably get higher. There are ways to do so, but the enemies are just sponges really. On top of this, it feels like the player hit box is a bit too large. Which leads to hits that shouldn't connect, but connects. The dodge works well enough I suppose, but that as well is held back by just how easy it is to get hit. The platforming challenges now, they are okay. Though, a lot of the time as said. The jump, dash, etc. Doesn't seem quite enough. Which means you are gonna be doing something extra. Sometimes as well, the dash is just too much and you hit obstacles kinda easy. Which gets to, the final level of the challenge. Either has a bit of time to spare, or none. The strange thing is, there were times when there was no mistakes but basically no time to spare. Though, made a mistake on another and I had a few seconds? Coulda been done better for sure. As for the last problem, there isn't an actual final battle. You fight a servant, but the supposed build up is done by a button input event. Which was a massive let down. All in all, not a bad game, but definitely some areas to improve in. As well as, there is no final boss battle really.
Most satisfiying combat I had in a metroidvania game. Hope to see a sequel. A toast to the devs!
generally a good metroidvania, its wall interactions are a bit finnicky but otherwise the core is just fine. Biggest issue is that your damage is never improved. There are small buffs that supposedly improve your damage, especially my favorite of low hp = damage increase, but they are barely noticeable with how much of a damage sponge even normal enemies are. Top it off with some fights being cluttered with effects and enemies and the fun combat turns miserable. I'm not going to deny that it was fun to play through most of the game, but towards the end it felt like my damage was left in the dirt while enemies/bosses kept getting better.
This has the best combat I've played in a metroidvania game in ages. Definitely recommended if you want a solid sword action game.
