It's faithful to the original and they added new modern system. My only complaint is using UE5. Like why? You have your own Katana Engine which was great for DW Origins. I will assume their reason is that the game would need more work but would that be a good reason? Kinda lazy to me.

Too many meat buns
This is coming from a lover and player of the Original DW3 and seeing this game remastered and looking beautiful is really great to see. Its a very hard game to recommend though as it leaves me frustrated and annoyed. The thing holding it back is the NEW mechanics they have brought into the game, the dodge and several counters on the surface are from dynasty warriors origins A GAME BUILT AROUND IT whilst DW3 is not and they ruined the game with it. Yes you can turn the dodge (as well as charge attacks Off) BUT it takes away your only "Normal" means of attacking after a guard break Charge attack one as the AI recover too quickly for you to capitalise. The only other option is to use your musou or a game break mechanic called guard cancelling (which the game does not even tell you is something you can do). This is because they've sped up animations making Enemies animations recover too quickly and this needs seeing too in future updates. Another issue the game has is with its AI Musou gain as they seem to get the full Musou only after a couple of hits allowing them to spam it making combat feel frustrating. The game needs to be rebalance this a bit. Another issue is The archers, As the Number on screen has greatly increased since hardware has greatly progressed leading to 2 or 3 times as many archers appearing at once. This might not be a big deal but when a single archer takes a chunk out of your life and 10 plus at once shoot you it deletes half of your health. The Weapon fusion mechanic Although good and adds some sort of replay ability allowing you to modify weapons rather than relying on drops being better than the weapon you have. But instead of adding to the stats you can only replace them If you have a weapon with Attack 19 and you get a NEW weapon with attack 15 you cannot add the two together only replace with a bigger number which leads to mass grinding to get a perfect weapon instead of adding the same stats together to make it faster OR least add the ability to improve weapon stats through Merit you gain. This game needs gameplay improvements. 7/10 as of now
