Pretty fun with very .hack-esque feel (not surprising since it's a bandai game). However, it crashes constantly. Spent two hours in GPT trying to troubleshoot it and they all failed. It's apparently common enough of an issue that there are forums about it, but none of the fixes I found in any of those helped either. At this point I can't run the game at all. Disappointing waste of money.
WORKING VERY GOOD ON STEAM MACHINE!!!!!!!! The game is a7/10 id say. ENough to be thumbs up!
This Game feels like an hollow MMORPG but there's no other players. Just your annoying party members which have 3-6 sentences constantly repeating. Like there's a Wolf Type! There's a dire wolf! - Girl, not every Wolf is a dire wolf so stfu! and hell yeah i am opening that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ treasure chest - why wouldn't i?? Since the whole World feels so empty, it also feels cheap. You're trapped in a loop of finishing the same bosses ever and ever again. The Combat system is great, but it's just not enough to really like this game. They put so much love into the design of the world and it looks and feels awesome but the NPC's and your Character just don't blend well into the scene... The cheap cell shaded characters thrown in to a Lush World of finest design does not match and look like a dollhouse. Besides, this game is one of the grindiest games ever, which is a plus for me, since i love grinding and it's not the worst game but TBH i don't recommend this game for full price because it's way to expensive for what you're getting. It gets boring so fast after the looooong proloque and yeah... still feels cheap. Not sure if I'll be finishing it... the next time Iori's telling me "there's a Wolf" - but it's actually just a damn Kobold - i'm going PK my self lol.
I actually like the idea of creating my own character as another beta tester and exploring Aincrad alongside the main cast. But why do I have to be just another ordinary player? Why can't my character obtain a unique skill like Dual Blades, or a special weapon or sword skill like Kirito and Heathcliff have? Why am I stuck using a basic sword and shield, looking like some random NPC? The game starts by telling us that Kirito has already reached Floor 8, while we can only explore Floors 1 and 2. It just makes my character feel even more insignificant. On top of that, the prologue is way too long, the explorable areas are too limited, character customization comes too late, and there aren't enough weapon choices. I don't need to play as Kirito. I actually prefer creating my own character, but I want to feel like someone special in the world of SAO, not just another background character.
