Every corner of the sunken village rewards curiosity. Dive into flooded houses, search quiet streets, and find hidden objects and traces of the people who once lived here. The relaxed pace and natural swimming make Echoes of Mora VR a comfortable VR experience. No rush, no pressure, just you and the deep.

Hidden in the depths lie Echoes: portals into the days before the flood. Each one is sealed, its fragments waiting to be found in secret corners or behind small puzzles. Unlock them, step through, and stand in the village as it once was, with dry land under your feet and voices in the streets. There you'll meet Mora, a girl searching for her missing brother. She is the only one who can see you. Share what you found in the deep, guide her search, and see where her story leads.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
Full gameplay & walkthrough here (part 1): https://youtube.com/live/SdJ9n9fJ29o (part 2): https://youtube.com/live/lPJjmqzqFxM Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game. I say unfortunate because there were several things that I really liked about this experience. This is a narrative-driven adventure game or otherwise known as a walking simulator although I guess you'd call this a swimming simulator technically. I loved the story. The mystery had me hooked from beginning to end. The VOs were excellent. This is the type of game that I normally enjoy. Unfortunately, technical issues keep this from being an enjoyable experience in VR. The biggest issue is performance. I was getting anywhere from 40-70 fps on my RTX 5090. I changed the graphical settings to low and didn't seem to make any difference in performance. Worse part of all is that the camera bounces or shakes, which would make this game unplayable for like 99% of the gaming population (I just happen to be the 1% who can play through it without issue). The controls are also awful. So you're supposed to make a swimming motion to get around in this world. That part is fine actually, but otherwise the controls are janky. You're bouncing around everywhere out of control. I also had an item disappear through a wall (lucky quitting and coming back solved the issue). I also went out of bounds accidentally and got stuck by following the fish (luckily again quitting and coming back solved the issue). Yeah those fish guides can lead you down the wrong path as well. The game is snap turn only and the snap turn angle is too low, making turning painfully slow (it's also inconsistent, you have to make multiple attempts to turn sometimes). I believe there is a very good game underneath the poor VR port if you're into narrative-driven games or walking sims. Unfortunately, I'm only interested in VR. I will not refund. I finished the game in less than 3 hours. Rate 4/10. Sadly, maybe it's better played in the flatscreen version.
I bought this game! Extremely bad performance, bad VR controls, and really unplayable. Using an Index hmd in 80 Hz. Feels totally unoptimized and like alpha software - not even good enough for early access. Feels like I'm running two copies of the 2D version at once, one per eye in my VR hmd. Actually the 2D version has an RTX 3070 Ti as recommended gpu, and the VR version an RTX 5080. And the 5080 is actually twice as fast as the 3070 Ti - so maybe VR users are actually running 2 x the 2D version, lol... Using an RTX 3090 and i9 10900K (10 cores/20threads) I'm not even getting 40 fps - and motion smoothing really does not help. No one in his or her right mind releases a new VR game recommending an RTX 5080 or better - unless you want to sell 2 copies. Graphics are not very advanced, this game should be able to run in solid 80 fps using an RTX 3060 Ti in VR with a Quest 3 set to res 100%. DLSS does not seem supported - and this game needs it like no other. The VR version feels like made by a dev who is new to VR. The dev should check out Subside VR to see how proper VR swimming controls are made. Subside also performs like 10 times better, and looks a lot better too. Subside was made by just one dev. There is only support for snap rotation, which makes the game feel like a VR game from 2016... Smooth rotation should be supported. There may be a nice game hidden here, but with totally unacceptable performance I shall probably never find out. Sadly I will be refunding this game.
