The stat spread for the new classes are novel and nothing more, outside of min-maxed lower level builds for PvP they are wholly irrelevant. Having access to SoTE weapons in the base game while nice, has been availible through player interaction since SoTE launch. The new flail and greatsword are interesting but also a pittance of abilities already availible. This should have been a patch. If investors want Elden Ring monetized more allow time and development space for this to be fully engaged with. Nightreign was a smashing success and like Elden Ring proper has been dropped for development.
The golden horse armor, a bad omen.

it s ridiclous how they give you a few items and skins espesically a weapon and set from DS2-3 and they ask for any money. Instead of making it free content or adding more that would justify to ask 5 euros. For one of most successful games in the world and years of supports from the fans and streamers I think this is very greedy and disgusting. I ve played this game an unhealthy amount ot hours and it s still my favorite but Fromsoft starts to go into a direction that I dislike. Starting what they did to nightrein.

Elden Ring, base game - 59,99 (seldom on sale) Tarnished Pack - 4,99 (adding a meagre smattering of items) The ability to leave a negative review - Priceless The very existence of such a tiny paid add-on is so unbecoming of Fromsoft that I desperately want to know who was behind it. If it was borne out of shareholder pressure then this DLC likely represents the ceding of seemingly insignificant ground to satisfy the profit-extraction demands of some financial bean-counters from on-high who couldn’t possibly be more aloof from game development if they tried. But if instead the decision came from the publisher themselves, then they are needlessly approaching a slippery slope from which many other companies have not returned. In any case, whoever decided to paywall such a minute add-on, this pack simply isn’t worth 4,99. Sure, the suite of new weapons help to meaningfully bridge progression between the base game and DLC while Torrent’s new appearances are a welcome addition. Fitting so naturally into the game, it’s a surprise that such a system wasn’t already implemented at launch. But with only three options and nothing evoking Gaius’ mount or even Loretta’s, this token customization feature still feels woefully under-explored. Compared to other games’ predatory monetization schemes, this pack may even amount to a “good deal”, but who would compare Elden Ring to those other games in any other metric? “They didn’t fleece the player as badly as many others do”, remains a poor excuse for what we get here. Neither Fromsoft nor Bandai are a charity and they certainly aren’t indie, so in no world can I justify the price of this pack. TL;DR: should have been included gratis with the base game or at MOST sold for 2,50.
