Focus Grove

As someone with ADHD, I am finding Focus Grove so helpful! I bought it on a whim with it being I think about $8 USD. I wasn't sure if this would be a tool I would use long term or if it would just be a short term tool. But with almost 90 hours in, I think I by far got what I paid for it and has become a regular part of my day. Sometimes coming back to my little woodland creatures are the reason I get up and actually get my chores done! Highly recommend for those who need a little help with some motivation to get things done! I use it for work, chores, exercise, anything that feels like I need a little boost and reward for getting things done! Even if this doesn't stay a long term staple, it is a great price to try it out since I think even for awhile you will find value from Focus Grove! I love that this is constantly updated and the new flowtime feature is my most used and favorite thing in the app!

This game is shockingly motivating. I find myself planning out what I want to purchase after the next focus session gives me some more coins...which ensures that I actually do the next focus session. Plus it helps that there is a really nice balance between cost and how long it takes to work towards something. It's satisfying when I get to decorate the farm with a new item I've saved up for or unlocked. The characters and animations are cute and unobtrusive. I like that you can hide the farm if need be and still see a timer. I find myself using the notepad and task list. I haven't used the habit tracker much yet or the ambient sounds. They weren't annoying, just not my thing. I am looking forward to trying the flow timer feature as well. As a neurodivergent person, I like the option of someone telling me how long of a break to take. tldr: If you need motivation to complete boring tasks, this is a great tool!
