The city of Vahrin found itself overwhelmed by a swarm of the grotesque, insect-like creatures known as khraiax.
In response, many of the Free Cities, united under the banner of the Combined Order, sent their armies to confront this terrible threat.
But victory was not to be theirs, for while the khraiax stood little chance against the might of the combined forces, a far greater danger rose from beneath the city’s streets.
Vahrin’s king lies dead, along with thousands of soldiers who marched to the city’s aid. Now only its most stalwart defenders remain, desperately fighting to reclaim their beloved home.

It is a game that is very generic but not in a bad sense at least imho. It crashed once but it think it{s because I had it set to upscale with FSR which does not work well with a lot of games either way. The story is interesting enough to keep you wanting more and the gameplay although a bit rough, it{s charming. I honestly thought I{d return it after 2 hours but I kept playing because it felt familiar. The magic system is simple, the melee combat feels pretty rough, and bow and arrow is actually kind of good. Cannot swim, which means instant death in the water (kind of stupid). Overall is a 7/10 game. Just play it if you are bored and can catch it on a discount.
This game was a disappointment for me because it was on my wishlist for a very long time and turned out to be not what I expected. To begin with, optimization is not very good. I was getting constant frame rate drops with an RTX5080 no matter what I selected in the graphic options. The graphics are also very outdated in my opinion and look pretty bad overall. There are also too many places where the graphics are too dark, even with the nighttime brightness maxed. The save function is also not very good. It really only saves at checkpoints. Even though there is an option to quick save, the game doesn't actually save like a manual save. When you return to the game, you are placed at a checkpoint with respawned enemies. And every time you are killed, you are also placed back at a checkpoint with respawned enemies. Another aspect of this game that I didn't care for is that you cannot loot bodies of the enemies you kill. You cannot interact with them at all. Some items they carry just pop into your inventory without you getting an option to select what to take. The inventory system is also very dull in my opinion with just text and icons. Combat is also extremely awkward with your character wildly swinging a sword through the air without actually hitting enemies. The difficulty also seems unbalanced in the beginning of this game with enemies dealing way too much damage, even on the easiest difficulty. There is also no easy way to replenish health. There are also too many boss battles in this game for me to enjoy. I also found the quests, story, and gameplay uninteresting and dull. Overall, I did not enjoy my time spent with this game so I cannot recommend it. I believe I will just stick with Skyrim, which of course is FAR superior to this game in every way,
This game is really awesome! its very nostalgic! Alot of loot to gather. I do have one critic, I have noticed that wearing armor verse wearing none has little effect minus stamina. I tried both ways with armor and without armor several times to ensure I wasn't lacking and to my knowledge besides stamina I didn't see any change really. So i played the other half of the game with no armor and found it to be easier. Other than this the game was pretty awesome!!
A little on the simple side so far at about 3 hours in. Enjoying the exploration, and level design so far. Feels like a "Fable lite" so far.

I'm a little less than 8 hours into the game but I've spent the entire time in the first chapter just exploring these maps. The design is genuinely great, always urging me to check every nook and cranny because even if you're just finding junk you can dismantle it for valuable crafting materials or sell it for a ton of cash. You can find side quests sitting around that lead you to even more areas in a map you thought you fully explored. Combat is great though I've seen complaints in many reviews that almost made me not buy the game. That would have been a tragedy. People seem to have expected Elden Ring, but the combat in this works much like it did back in the 360 era action RPGs like Kingdoms of Amalur. It allows you to kite enemies, take cheap shots and generally use the systems to your advantage. It's not about learning the enemy attack patterns, it's about playing with the game's systems. Ignore the fact that it has a stamina and a dodge roll, they work well in this game and add a little depth to the combat. But this is NOT a souls-like, and shouldn't be. We have enough of those. Impressive as well is the art direction. It's not the most realistic game ever made, nor are the graphics perfect, but the uniform artistic direction makes the world itself immersive. It's also easy to read and easy to see, as in traversing levels and spotting enemies is effortless. Despite how many areas wrap in upon themselves and generate almost mazes, at no point did I feel lost because everything appears unique, and the art direction and map design lend themselves well to understanding where you are. No performance issues at all running on Epic settings. I'm thoroughly impressed, and even more so that this was crafted by 7 people. I will update if the game begins to disappoint me as I've not yet finished it, but with how much fun I've been having I figured this deserved a positive review.
