Very happy about this DLC, I played it a lot. When I was done with the base game, I had around 240h of playtime. What makes it great? New characters, a little story, tons of upgrades for your characters and weapons that enable you to customize your build even more and give you the feeling that it's your own character, and a lot of new quests that will either challenge you or give you great ways to farm some items that were tedious to farm before. Talking about that, I really advise only buying the DLC after you think you're really done with the base game. They created something called the Conflux, which could allow you to basically skip the entire farm of the base game (depending on when you actually unlock it if you buy both the game and DLC and start a new save). And I think that the farm makes the game great, it's not as strict as it could be, like a Monster Hunter game. You often have no trouble getting what you want, so it feels really rewarding. And once you actually get in the DLC, it's very easy to try new characters and bring them to 20000-25000pwr (the power level you should be at the end of the base game). I completed the entire DLC solo, without going in multiplayer, so I don't think they went too hard on the players, but I really had fun with the difficulties of the new quests, often making me stop to actually think about my builds and how I can optimize them. Really happy to see a DLC for that game because Granblue Fantasy: Relink easily became one of my favorite JRPGs of all time, and it gives me good hope to see even more of it in the future.

I never got to play the DLC. requires you to complete multiple difficulties and pass a lot of DPS checks. I beat the base game in about 20 hours. I have an additional 26 hours trying to get to the DLC........ Super grindy, I quit after doing most of Proud mode. This is the worst DLC I've ever bought. Trash... DO NOT BUY THIS DLC.

The base game starts strong, but the endgame and DLC dissolve into an aggressively tedious, time-wasting grind. The DLC expedites your path to Proud difficulty just to lock you into Chaos tiers, where you face an uninspired, progression loop. -- Unforgivable HP Sponges: You will spend 10 to 15 minutes per fight chipping away at lazy boss reskins with 300 million HP. They feature the exact same movesets you already fought from Normal to Proud difficulty. -- Overwhelming Menu Bloat: The game unironically features more weapon, character, and sigil upgrade systems than a free-to-play game has virtual currencies. -- Zero Real Build Variety: Despite the mountain of layered upgrade mechanics, there is absolutely no meaningful build diversity. You are just grinding stats to counter arbitrary tier-specific penalties and damage limits. -- Frustrating Damage Cap System: The damage cap mechanics—a carryover issue from the base game—further ruin the experience. While it is obviously meant to prevent you from instantly nuking bosses, min/maxers always find a way to break these arbitrary balance attempts anyway. Instead, it just punishes casual players who don't want to follow a strict guide. It feels like a lazy shortcut for game balance, allowing developers to avoid critically thinking about sigil tuning and how it effects gameplay because they can just force the game to aggressively clip your damage anyway. -- Meant Only for Hardcore Grinders: This endgame isn't built for fun; it is designed entirely to satisfy people who have endless free time and enjoy mindlessly farming the exact same content all day just to unlock tier-locked stat increases most of which are at the mercy of the damage cap stat. If you genuinely loved the base game's repetitive endgame loop, you will find more of it here. If you thought the base endgame was a tedious chore, avoid the DLC completely. It simply does not respect your free time.

Really liked the base game, but this expansion is extremely disappointing, especially for the price. The new characters are nice, but all it really adds besides them is more grind to a game that was already filled with grind in the postgame. I had expected there to be new enemies, bosses, and areas for the asking price, but 95% of the content is just recycled from the base game. Outside of the new characters, it honestly feels like it should've just been a free update more than anything.
