Great sequel. Kinda bad pacing on the Tower Defense missions and the factory parts feel like they don't really fit the mix. But still a very enjoyable game.
Great fun! Lots of new stuff to do compared to the first game. Love it :D
i was suuuper excited when i heard there was a GK2 in the making but i am curently pretty underwehelmed. the new mechanics are ok i guess but there are still a lot of bugs and the balance is completely off. in generall it really feels like the world is upside down ..some thing that should be tedious are super easy while some things thats should be easy are tedious... a few concrete points that annoys me a lot: -unskippable scenes ... the sermon feels like an eternity each time and you cant skip -learned potion are stored in the book but cant be crafted directly.. i get it receipe are flexible so its not 1:1 but this is a very clear regression from GK1 why not make it so that you are able to select the receipe in the bench and show it in faint color like a "thats your target" kinda thing -many items are not self explanatory like for example i still dont know what the f*** third eye salts are for despite it having a description. im not shy about figuring stuff out myself mind you but some things really need a clearer explanation. - the PR system is just plain stupid ( will probably be better after rework ?? ) -lots of things happen out of order like you can make zombies before learning about zombies? there is no warning that the PR system wil punish you for having too many zombies because making zombie is not locked before making the actual zombie quest... -timed battles why the hell cant i win the battle after conquering all the flags? they should make the flags harder and forget the damn timer. -after a certain progression you HAVE to use zombies and the automated benches... there is no choice like in GK1. sorry devs but if i feel like playing "lay the belts in an optimal patern" i go and play factorio or satisfactory no need to do that here. why not just make the repair and set up cost of the benches harder and have the goods delivered from the storage automagically underground. -the inconsistent gatcha system is annoying. on some item you craft gold from day one so whats the point of bronze and silver. also if you invested many points in one branch and suddenly need a bronze or silver items it seems you cant go back because you can not actively select the max tier your aiming at. -benches that stop until you get the goods out....do i need to say more? seriously? - performance sux my pc in not a potato and i still get regular microfrezes and low frames -the bed is the safepoint but you cant save if your energy bar is full? i dont know ... honestly feels like lot of things need to get fixed before i could enjoy this game... in the meantime i happily go play GK1 + all DLC's ..... will probably revisit it later after this whole mess is cleared out a little.
Very fun series, this game is the perfect continuation from the first without spoilers, much better QoL (:
I can't recommend in this state. Obtuse, buggy, clunky. There are elements of something here - but it's not worth banging your head against the wall for it yet.
