A very unique and fun experience that's not for everyone. When this was revealed as a Visual Novel x Rhythm Game x Card Crafting / Puzzle Game lowiro really meant it. While you can disable dealing with the card and puzzle things with assist form you really can't ignore the VN part of the game as the vast major of songs in the game are unlocked through (you start with 9 songs and you'll unlock over 60 through the VN). If you aren't willing to either give the story a chance and read through or mod to bypass the VN entirely, you probably won't have a great time. Personally, I enjoyed the story and didn't feel like it was a chore at any time in regards to unlocking all the songs but your mileage may vary. The rhythm game part of the package is a genuine breath of fresh air in terms of creativity and uniqueness and honestly feels pretty good once you get used to it. I also personally feel that the song selection is excellent with basically no filler. The biggest mark on the game is honestly the removal of the demo once the full game released. I simply don't understand why it was. Yes, you can refund Steam games within 2 weeks or 2 hours of playtime for basically any reason but...just why? I'm utterly baffled by the decision and I feel like the game would only be helped if people who are on the fence could have a risk-free way to try it. All of that said...it's a recommendation from me through again, bear in mind that if you expect to just be able to play the rhythm game with no strings attached you'll probably be disappointed and annoyed that you must go through the VN.
They have improved their storytelling so much compared to Arcaea. In falsus grapples with seriously interesting themes and the presentation is great. This game is so innovative for a rhythm game it makes history.
It's everything I ever wanted and more for an amazing price! I ended up liking all the girls a lot more than I expected. The connection you feel by using the mouse and keyboard together is seriously magical and feels unique to this game. The whole game is very clean and beautiful to look at and a majority of the songs are very memorable. About the story:
That ending felt deflating, but I am excited to see what else can happen. The prologue does tease quite a lot with the right context.
lowiro always makng peak stuff
