Island Restoration is a cleaning game where you heal a scarred world, one island at a time. Clean up hazards, rescue cute animals, uncover secrets, and upgrade your tools as you explore diverse regions and transform ever-changing islands into beautiful paradises.
The world has been left scarred by factories and hazards. Islands were left damaged, wildlife has been driven away and places that once felt like paradises have been left desolate. No one else seems willing to do anything about it. But you do care, more than anything. So you set sail to fix what was broken and restore the world.
Each island starts out damaged by hazards, but the more you clean, the more nature begins to return. Use your special cleaning tools to remove hazards, help cute animals, uncover secrets, and watch each island transform in front of you.
You start slowly at first, but once you start upgrading your tools, the cleaning process becomes much faster. Unlock useful skills and new tools that help you restore new regions. Sometimes, even a small upgrade is all it takes to make a cleanup feel way easier.
With 4 unique biomes across 12 distinct maps and a build-in randomizer, you will never visit the same island twice. Each journey leads you to new islands to discover and restore, with beautiful landscapes that make every journey feel fresh and exciting.
New cleaning side contracts become available as you progress. Choose between quick cleaning jobs on small islands or put more effort into larger islands for bigger rewards. Every contract generates a new, ever-changing island, offering infinite replayability.
Your boat stays with you throughout the journey. Change different components, mix and match parts, and make it feel more like your own.

I love this game! This dev is seriously so gifted <3 I love the art, the music is relaxing, and best of all the animals you save are super cute! The controls are intuitive and I appreciate that all the tools can be toggled so you don't have to keep clicking/holding resulting in hand fatigue. This is such a wonderful concept for a game and exploring the maps is honestly really fun even though they are small. I especially enjoyed the hidden areas and mini puzzles on the bigger islands. Thank you EliteTheDev for making such a wholesome and cozy game, you rock!

I'm giving this a thumbs down and saying I don't recommend this game. The second region many people, myself included, are stuck, and don't have a way to 100% the island because of missing items. Yes it lets you continue but with less rewards and honestly why should I just continue, the issue shouldn't exist first of all, second and the main reason for the negative review is simply a lack of response from the devs. Go look in the discussions for yourselves, you'll see what I mean. It's a so-so game regardless, very little to do, very little variety & upgrades. Another classic cash grab and run routine. Congrats devs you got my 4 hours and money, you're awesome...

boring, repetitive, needs a lot more to keep it engaging does have potential, but current gameplay loop is mundane
🏝️ Give Me A Messy Island And Apparently I'm Happy For Hours Island Restoration is one of those games where I looked at the basic premise and thought, "Yep, I'm probably going to enjoy this." After just under an hour and 45 minutes and two tropical islands completely restored, I'm happy to say I was right. The premise is wonderfully straightforward. Jump into your boat, travel to an island and discover that somebody has made an absolute mess of the place. Oil spills need cleaning, enormous piles of mud need removing, statues and monuments need washing, and beaches are littered with glass bottles, cans, plastics and other rubbish. So you get to work. What I particularly enjoy is that you're not simply watching a percentage counter increase while performing the same action repeatedly. There are different kinds of cleaning to do, different tools to use and plenty of little things to discover as you work your way around each island. Then there are the animals. During my first couple of islands I found little creatures that needed rescuing, cleaning and freeing from the rubbish and materials tangled around them. I'm already somebody who gets an unreasonable amount of satisfaction from making a messy virtual environment look beautiful again, so adding animals that need my help was probably a little unfair. Of course I'm going to rescue them. One of the things I really enjoyed during these first two islands was simply seeing the transformation taking place around me. You arrive somewhere that looks neglected and polluted, then gradually work your way through it until the rubbish has gone, the hazards have been dealt with and the place looks like somewhere you'd actually want to visit again. It's simple, but extremely satisfying. I originally intended this to be a first look for De Tom Plays, and eventually stopped after around an hour and 45 minutes simply because the recording was already getting rather long. I hadn't stopped because I'd had enough. Quite the opposite — I wanted to carry on cleaning. I've asked the people watching whether they'd like to see me restore more of the islands on camera. Whether they do or not, I'm going back. There are still more places to restore, more upgrades and tools for me to discover and considerably more of the game for me to experience, so I'll happily acknowledge that this isn't a review written after completing everything. It's my experience so far. And so far, Island Restoration has delivered pretty much exactly what I hoped it would: a relaxed, satisfying game about taking places that have been spoiled and making them beautiful again, with no need to rush while doing it. Apparently that's all it takes to keep me happy. Give me a boat, some cleaning equipment, a polluted island and a few little animals that need rescuing and I'll see you in several hours. For me, Island Restoration already earns a Tom Recommends. 💜~~📝 Review note: I'll update this review once I've completed 100% of Island Restoration.
