Fun game!
Being limited in how much prestige points you can make per run is incredibly bad design. There's no choice to make, no strategy, no nothing. Just clic, hover, repeat. Not even a buy all button. The Village tab is... useless ? Keeps you busy for 4 hours. Not entertained, busy.
Keep Watering takes one of the simplest activities in farming and transforms it into an incremental experience centered on patience, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Developed by Frozen Logic Studios and published by Lazy Otter, this charming indie title emphasizes the satisfaction of turning modest beginnings into an increasingly productive agricultural operation. Instead of overwhelming players with complicated farming mechanics or demanding objectives, it focuses on an accessible cycle of watering crops, harvesting produce, and purchasing improvements. Its greatest attraction lies in making small accomplishments feel meaningful, encouraging players to keep expanding their capabilities through a steady stream of upgrades. The gameplay follows a straightforward formula that becomes increasingly rewarding as production improves. Watering plants generates opportunities to harvest crops, while collected resources support further development. Every improvement contributes toward making the next cycle more efficient, establishing a rhythm that feels particularly suited to casual gaming sessions. The simplicity makes the experience easy to understand, although it also creates an obvious limitation. Players expecting elaborate farming mechanics, diverse agricultural activities, or substantial strategic complexity may find the central interactions repetitive. The enjoyment largely depends on appreciating gradual numerical progression rather than expecting dramatic changes in gameplay. One of the more appealing aspects is the skill tree, which provides several avenues for improving agricultural productivity. Upgrades can increase watering speed, improve harvest yields, and enhance crop growth, giving players tangible goals to pursue. These improvements create a sense of momentum because each investment potentially reduces the time required to achieve the next milestone. The progression system also introduces an element of decision-making, as players can prioritize different aspects of their operation. However, the overall depth depends on whether these choices meaningfully affect efficiency or simply provide predictable increases in production. A satisfying incremental experience requires more than rising numbers, and maintaining interesting progression remains one of the game's biggest challenges. Automation adds another layer to the farming process by introducing more advanced methods of managing crops. Players can develop irrigation capabilities, summon rainfall, improve equipment, and eventually incorporate tractors into their operations. These additions create the appealing impression of transforming a small manual farming activity into a more sophisticated production system. The transition toward automation is particularly important because it rewards earlier effort with greater convenience. Rather than endlessly repeating the same actions at the same pace, players can work toward systems that make agricultural management increasingly efficient. This sense of technological advancement gives the otherwise simple premise a stronger feeling of purpose. The presentation complements the relaxed gameplay through colorful pixel graphics and an inviting isometric perspective. Its cheerful agricultural environments emphasize visual clarity and simplicity, making the experience approachable without relying on elaborate animations or demanding graphical effects. The overall aesthetic suits a game designed around repeated interactions and gradual development. Watching crops grow and farming operations expand can provide a pleasant sense of accomplishment, especially for players who appreciate cozy environments. Nevertheless, the relatively straightforward visual direction may offer limited excitement for those seeking detailed environments, extensive customization, or impressive graphical spectacle. Another strength is the absence of unnecessary pressure. The game emphasizes personal progression rather than competitive challenges, allowing players to concentrate on improving their farm at their preferred pace. This makes it suitable for relaxing sessions where the primary objective is simply to become more productive. The familiar temptation to purchase one additional upgrade gives the experience its addictive potential. However, this same design philosophy can become a weakness when improvements begin to feel routine. Without sufficient mechanical variety, the progression may eventually resemble repetitive grinding rather than meaningful development. Players who enjoy idle games are more likely to appreciate this structure than those seeking a traditional farming simulator. In terms of accessibility, Keep Watering offers several practical features that improve convenience. Full controller support accommodates players who prefer gamepads, while mouse-only controls provide a straightforward alternative. Steam achievements introduce optional progression goals, and Steam Cloud support makes managing saved progress more convenient across supported devices. The game also supports multiple interface languages and features modest system requirements, making it approachable for players without powerful gaming computers. Its lightweight presentation is appropriate for the genre, although the simplicity of its technical requirements should not automatically be interpreted as proof of flawless optimization. Steam Deck compatibility is currently listed as Unknown, meaning Valve has not officially classified the game as Verified or Playable. Although controller support and modest hardware requirements are encouraging, they do not guarantee reliable operation on the handheld. Interface scaling, control responsiveness, and compatibility through Proton remain considerations until sufficient testing establishes its performance. Players primarily interested in handheld gaming should therefore approach Steam Deck support with reasonable caution rather than assuming complete compatibility. Ultimately, Keep Watering succeeds conceptually by embracing the fundamental appeal of incremental gaming: transforming repetitive actions into increasingly satisfying progress. Its approachable mechanics, pleasant presentation, useful upgrades, and automation possibilities provide a promising foundation for casual entertainment. However, its narrow gameplay focus and potential for repetition may limit its appeal among players seeking greater variety or complexity. With only a small number of Steam user reviews available, broader reception remains difficult to assess reliably. Rating: 7/10
Love the game, the game loop and the fresh way to interact. My only wish is that the game was longer. I do feel like it is quite short.

The start is slightly slower than i would expect however soon gets in to the fun cycle i was expecting. Also not fully clear you are capped on each run before you reset, so once those diamonds are full you should restart again. Good game overall
