♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgusting game, all it has going for it are graphics. Bad gameplay.
Brings a special era to life in a wonderful way. Great souls-like game. Would appreciate a bit more complexity in the builds/combat. 9/10
really great game, i do wish if there was hostile NPCs to create a consequence for lying and inviting them in this game alike bloodborne but overall its a fun game.
After about 30 hours, I finally completed the entire story of Lies of P. It probably could have been finished in half the time if my character hadn’t died several hundred times. Seriously, this game is hard. If you’re not used to Souls-like combat, Lies of P will humble you faster than you can say, “What the hell just killed me?” And then it will kill you again while you’re still trying to figure it out. The combat definitely isn’t for everyone. This is not a game where you can charge into a group of enemies and start swinging wildly without consequences. The game will punish that decision immediately. The combat is methodical and demands well-timed blocks, dodges, and attacks. If you’re off by even a fraction of a second, the game will happily introduce you to the nearest loading screen. It’s punishing, sometimes brutally so, but that’s also what makes finally beating a difficult enemy so satisfying. Every death teaches you something, assuming you can maintain your sanity long enough to learn it. And then there’s the presentation. The art direction is incredible. The entire game has a unique visual identity, and the dark, depressing atmosphere fits the world perfectly. The environments are beautifully designed, with a dark and oppressive atmosphere that gives the entire world a haunting sense of decay. Overall, Lies of P is an excellent Souls-like with fantastic combat, a memorable setting, and an atmosphere that pulls you in. Just be prepared to die. A lot. Would recommend, especially if you enjoy difficult games and don't mind occasionally questioning your life choices.
I'm a huge Fromsoftware fan, for some reason, I have delayed playing Lies of P for 3 years, but the moment I started playing, I was hooked. The combat is insanely fun as it is a mix of both Sekiro and Bloodborne, the art direction and aesthetics of this game are so beautiful. As for the story and the world, I found them surprisingly interesting and engaging. The 13 main bosses are a mix bag, some are great like the last three which are the most difficult, but the rest are mostly just ok and 1 or 2 were bad. Overall it was a good effort by the devs, not even Fromsoftware can have a great boss roster in their games. As for the difficulty, I beat it in 27 hours on Legendary Stalker no summons, I didn't die more than 4 times on any boss which was shocking, the game is not easy, but not as difficult as Fromsoftware games on the first playthrough. I just purchased the DLC, I heard it is great and ups the difficulty greatly, so I'm excited! 9/10... easily the best Soulslike game not made by Fromsoftware!
