I’m sure this game is fun but sadly my first time opening it I immediately got an error. I looked into it and apparently it’s an error others have gotten after playing the game and messing with the settings, but I’ve never played the game before. Apparently they found a fix by going into the save file, but I don’t have a save file to go into. Really bummed, sad that I can’t recommend. (Playing on deck)
Minit is a peculiar little adventure played sixty seconds at a time.
Minit
☐ Loved it ☑ Liked it ☐ Not for me Weighted rating out of 5
3.42

Summary
Minit is a peculiar little adventure played sixty seconds at a time. But fret not, you pick up tools along the way that can help you in subsequent runs. Best for: Fans of quick, try-again loops where an growing inventory of gotchas and tools help you progress. Then you die, and repeat. Skip if: You dislike repetition or time pressure. Dying every 60 seconds and trekking back through the same areas is an acquired taste.
Review
Minit is a 2D top-down adventure where the character dies every 60 seconds. Each life starts back at your home, but everything collected and unlocked persists. You sprint, explore, accomplish something meaningful, die, repeat. I was honestly taken back a bit by the art direction. If I would have spent more than 10 seconds looking at the screenshots on the store page I wouldn't have been but here I was, diving in blind. The style grew on me I guess, it is distinct and memorable, albeit a bit impractical: Found it a bit difficult to navigate nonetheless without much contrast. I will still rate the art highly. Progression feels great. The arc and introduction of new challenges is well-paced and there isn't ever a jump in difficulty that feels interruptive. Every now and then I got a bit disheartened by multiple runs not leading anywhere. Thankfully there's a "kill me instantly"-button that allowed me to just reset. All in all, well-executed game from a rather simple idea. Recommended if this feels like something that would entice you.
