It’s unacceptable how much they have ruined this game. They have taken all the fun out of it and removed any bit of skill required to tailor towards people who don’t know how to play the game. The idea of this game is amazing, but the execution is something straight out of a horror game.

NBA The Run is a easy game to pick up and learn. getting into matches are very quick and the tournaments you play are only 4 games. playing defense in the paint is difficult if your not using the right basketball player. Changes that would improve the game: Adding more modes. Not having 2v2 or 1v1s can make the game feel dull when your always playing with a team and the Ai you have in the tournaments will sometimes wonder around the court or attempt a shove at a bad time. More cosmetics to the basketball players. Right now its just jersey's from different eras and colors. Having a variety of jewelry, shoes, and sleeves would make basketball players pop out more. No description for the attributes. people who are fans of basketball or have little knowledge of basketball already know what handles and power can mean, but having a description detailing how you would see these attributes in game would still be helpful for newcomers and veterans of basketball games. i give this a game a 8/10. I would recommend getting this game on sale or if you want to an alternative to NBA2k

The closest thing in the modern day to the NBA Street Series from the 00s era. honestly amazing what they've been able to accomplish with this game with a fraction of the resources the team previously had with EA Sports BIG. Despite the current cons/issues, this is a project worth playing and buying, especially if you grew up playing EA Sports BIG titles, or even if you are looking for something more casual, that you dont have to invest hundreds of dollars to enjoy. Pros: * True streetball experience (No Goaltending, arcade shoves like nba jam) * easy to pick up controls, with a high skill ceiling * Winning Tourneys feels satisfying * A fresh take on the Gamebreaker System (Unique to each player based on strengths) * No Pay2win (gotta earn it through play) * Playing with friends is super fun * Ability to customize celebrations, dunk packages, uniforms * For Competitive Players (Sweats) there is a leaderboard for tourney wins, overall ranks on specific stats, win percentage trackers, and plenty of ways to display skill expression. * Variety of game sets that change the way you play from game to game * NBA legends/ unique Street legends that you unlock as you level up. * Live updates, bug fixes, and balance changes to keep game fresh CONS * Until Last Patch, game on PC specifically had load in/optimization issues (game didnt load in for me about 30 percent of the time) * Picking the Solo tourney option, you still are matched against 3 stacks, and you are stuck using one Player while the teammates you pick are CPU controlled * grinding for credits is a TRUE grind, and can feel like progress is static for periods of time, if you aren't winning tourneys * Like in 2k, or other sports games, Random teammates are usually ball hogs, and don't understand team play * No consequence for afking out of a tournament * Block and steal spammers hard to counter/punish * see alot of players playing the same things (I.e Double KD, Double Bron, now double KG)
