Play as Molly, a successful startup founder who helps people organize their lives by organizing their spaces.
In Neat!, you visit clients overwhelmed by chaos, clutter, and emotional weight. Your job is simple. Help them feel calm again. Organize, sort, and place objects with care. Get to know the people who live among them. Turn disorder into neat, comforting spaces, one object at a time.
Begin in a grandmother's garden, where Molly's tidying service takes its first steps. Help put a neighborhood library back together after a quiet chamber music evening somehow became a rock concert. Bring order to a VTuber's streaming room before her first live show.
Some spaces hold a little more mystery. A living room its owner swears is haunted. A room belonging to someone who has everything he needs, without ever stepping outside.
Others are part of everyday life. A single mom's kitchen. A Japanese konbini on the night shift. And one last space, the most personal of all, waiting for you to discover it.
Every client has a different reason for needing a hand. As you sort through their belongings, discover the personal stories told through the things they keep.
Organize 8 hand-crafted locations, each with its own client and story
Sort and place a wide variety of unique, interactive objects
Discover the lives behind the clutter through everyday belongings
Bring care and order to gardens, homes, workspaces, and more
Relax with a chill, carefully curated soundtrack
Steam Deck-verified and well-tested player experience

so cozyyyyy. love. the only issue was it's not long enough!! relaxing, great save system. cute items. reminds me of Unpacking loveee
I'm leaving a positive review because at the end of the day, I did have fun organising items. That said, NEAT! gives off vibes of unpacking, but the levels are definitely much simpler and shorter. The graphics are very pretty and pleasant. The plot, however, is rather basic and dull, but I get that this might not have been the main focus of this game. All in all, an alright experience for 2-3 hours, depending on whether you're just rushing through the level tasks or actually fully organising everything. Though I do agree with the reviews saying there's not enough content to justify the price.
Love the game. It reminds me of other cozy games I love such as Unpacking. I need more!
Gameplay Genre: Puzzle/decorator Story Genre: Coming of age, kinda Story/Gameplay Ratio: 1:4 **Gameplay** Ideas: 5/10 | Pretty basic decorator/cleaning sim mechanics. Execution: 4/10 | Often tasks are deemed "finished" when they are visibly not. Object placement is odd-feeling and objects often sit in odd or unfitting positions. Overall significantly less satisfying than I'd hoped it would be. **Story** Ideas: 5/10 | Not much there, but it's not really the point. Execution: 3/10 | Feels weird and off-putting. **Characters** Ideas: 5/10 | Basic tropes. Execution: 5/10 | Some interest posed by environment design, but mostly featureless. **Visuals & Sounds** Ideas: 6/10 | Cute, cozy art style, even if it's not particularly groundbreaking. Music is fun. Execution: 4/10 | As stated above, objects don't interact satisfyingly with each other and the environment, which is a major flaw for a decorator/cleanup game. It looks fine, but not great on the detail level, where the player is engaging with the game most. Music is repetitive, forgettable, and doesn't change all that much from level to level. Cohesiveness: 5/10 | Mechanically fine, but execution is sloppy enough that it left me confused as to what the triggers to task completion even *were*. Thematically all over the place, with disconnected character stories that don't have any real point to them. Personal Favor: 5/10 | Eh. **OVERALL RATING:** 5/10
So cute and comfy I really wish it was longer!
