Level your skills the old-school way: fish, mine, cook, farm and craft in a shared online world, and quest your way into abilities and achievements. Then take your gear into the dungeons, where the fight turns into a bullet heaven: chain abilities and relics into 100+ build combos, solo or with friends, and gather a party of eight to raid the Anima.
Every weapon and armor piece carries its own stats and sometimes, ability relics. Theorycraft your loadout to chain 10+ abilities together: apply Bombs to your bullet projectiles, or add Lightning Chains to your Pyrosphere. Swap your gear and you swap your class instantly. Tank for your friends on Monday, rain bullets on Thursday. Your character is every class you want it to be, whenever you want it to be.
Step out of the dungeon and the pace shifts. Soulbound's open world is a shared space where hundreds of players farm, gather, trade, and quest side by side. Tend your crops, fish a quiet river or stumble into a quest line that unlocks an ability you didn't know existed. The overworld is where you discover the skills and upgrades that make your next dungeon run deadly.
Every life skill feeds back into your progression with cooking restoring stamina, gathering unlocking crafting materials for gear and buffs and mining unlocking crafting stations to build the weapons that defines your class.
Gear in Soulbound does two things: makes you powerful and makes you you. Separate cosmetic slots mean your stats never dictate your style as you collect handmade, uniquely animated pixel-art armor sets, rare cosmetic drops, and companion pets. Mix and match freely and make your character look exactly how you want.
Every player gets their own base, and it's where your meta progression lives. Inside it, you construct and upgrade stations that unlock new gear tiers, potions that tip dungeon runs in your favor, and meals that push your stamina further. Decorate every room with furniture, trophies, and a full room-layout editor. Invite your friends and start building your guild base.
You awaken inside a digital universe that feels alive… but hostile. Early in your journey, you encounter The Anima, enigmatic and malevolent entities that overwhelm you with impossible force. Death isn’t the end, however. You’re recovered by a robotic rescuer and brought to your Virelda, a safe haven, workshop, and base of operations. As a Pioneer, you’ve got a lot to do before you can stand against The Anima.
Multiplayer × Roguelite hybrid: Persistent character progression meets instanced dungeons.

I've really enjoyed this game! This has everything I enjoy in a MMO. Ignore the haters and try it for yourself you'll thank me. The new Halloween event is fun, cute pixel graphics, fun game play, crafting, housing, quests, dungeons, fishing, farming, etc.
A light recommend for now especially for the sale price but clearly is in EARLY access, it has nice art and I enjoy grindy mmo-like games but the minor issues add up quick. Some areas feel polished and others feel like they were made quickly in RPG Maker back in the 00s, the map shows resource nodes (outcrops) but the amount and respawn rate is so all over the place many should just not exist, one quest let me repeat part 1 even after part 2 unlocked, pioneer guilds are important yet don't have a distinct map icon and in one area for some reason the NPC is the tavern (which does have a map icon) why not just do that everywhere, weird inconsistencies like that stand out to me.

Despite being listed as not having controller support [the initial reason I didn't grab Soulbound], it turns out through that you *can* use one. I wrote a little guide, to help other players to make it work. ~The game is really fun, with much to do and complexity that isn't needless. ~The pixel art is vibrant, with lots of small moving details. ~The developers actually will talk with you about any issues you have, no ticket and a week later an email reply. ~You can have an adventuring group of any range of levels, no restrictions that I could see.

Unfortunately, there are still too many bugs in the game. I wanted to redecorate my room, and—poof—for some reason, the game decided to make my items vanish. Sure, you could go back to gathering resources and so on, but that’s not the point; the issue is having to invest PRECIOUS time all over again just to get things already owned. That’s just not acceptable, especially when you have very little spare time. So, for anyone who still has a REAL life: I wouldn't recommend buying it. It’s the same story with a tutorial quest where you’re supposed to put a potion into a locker; somehow the potion disappeared, and now it’s impossible to complete the quest. It’s not that I care about the measly reward, but it’s annoying to be constantly reminded to put a potion—which I can no longer obtain—into that locker. A real shame, actually.
