I played both staffer case and retro, and I enjoyed both games I think the character writing and the plot is better in retro But the deduction process is more enjoyable in staffer case All in all still an enjoyable experience I love chapter 3 a lot it’s really well done the art is also pretty lovely 9/10 would recommend this game 我玩過前作 覺得Staffer retro 的故事劇情和人物描寫做得更好了 不過推理方面我比較喜歡前作 整體來說還是很好玩的 由其第三章 真的寫的很好 挺推介的

As always, quality writing and great presentation from Team Tetrapod. Act 3 was the best Case I've got to experience so far from them, they really outdid themselves. I wish Act 5 and the epilogue had the more open investigation structure that we came to expect from the rest of the series, it can't help but feel rushed and impolished compared to the tightly paced first parts of the game. Still, a fantastic experience overall and i'm looking forward to their next project.

Major Spoilers:
That part after the epilogue!! It means that there will be another game that follows that doesn't it!! Thanks God!!
Chapter 3 is the best in terms of discovering the truth that is the opposite to what they originally thought. The cliffhanger and pace are spot on.
Overall because this is not a hardcore detective game compared to the original Staffer Case, almost all plot lines are straight forward. You only discover the truth or not. Nothing the player do would change the story, except discovering less and unlocking fewer achievements.
But the stories are no less exciting than the other ones in the franchise. Then finally here are some unimportant rant/questions: sometimes I find Verita's character really infuriating, but then she is only 14 years old and is from a village in the last century... also I find it funny how can "staff" be pronounced as "steppu" in japanese XD (even in american english it is still æ but also in the story's setting they have been in London and Sicily where staff would most likely both be ɑː )...and ff becoming a "p" sound also adds to the confusion.
This is the 4th game in the staffer series I've played, and it's genuinely amazing. The plot twist was mind-blowing too, I didn't see that coming at all. Can't wait for Notrick and Thene to return in the next game!
Happy Birthday, Verita Retro
