Hey Buddy, I love your game I hate the last update. I think you or someone you sold your game to used a AI to change your game. Don't do that. Roll it back to the orignial format, if you haven't sold the rights to it asap. Like roll your game back to the update before this one asap. Otherwise well I get it niche long term pro-jects take time. Yes intential.
ass
So easy to pick up and put down again. Great game well executed. I'll likely replay it when more content comes out.
I'm a big fan of total was and slay the spire, this game takes inspiration from both. It's a deck-builder total war-esque game, which is a great and novel concept. It's very fun, though as of now there's a lack of variety. Faction units are more or less reskins, they all have different tiers of infantry, cavalry, archers, and artillery, for the most part. I think factions should have a distinct mechanic that they lean into. Mechanics that break them out of the generic restraints that other factions have, like undead should be able to have more than 10 units in a battle. Or some factions should have no ranged units in their roster, encouraging them to get units from other factions to fill the gaps. The spell update seems promising in regards to making factions feel more distinct. As well as future updates, you can tell the dev is talented and cares about the game, so looking forward to the future of it. I personally found it a bit easy, to the point I only play on god-like difficulty, but that may come from having a lot of experience from total war. At the end of the day though the game is pretty casual fun, so I don't think it having an approachable difficulty is a bad thing.
