Been playing this game for over a decade with me my friends and family.
this game is great
It's a constant struggle to get this game to work when Linux Mint system updates break it. Right now all I get is a blank screen with sound. Fun, popular game but a native Linux version needs some love.
great game, i quit playing around when high isle released (with about 800 hours on the steam version) and have been playing on/off since beta, but just recently came back. i like it more than some of the single player entries into the series, mostly because the gameplay is actually fun and engaging rather than just slapping wet noodles around with a boring/ultra limited magic system. you get dozens of skill lines and almost hundreds of individual skills and spells, which you can morph, scribe, and change however you like. you arent limited much and can build outside of the tank/dd/healer archetypes for any kind of thing you want to do in the game. my first real mmo was ffxi, which allows you to change job and subjob whenever you want. that leads to my only complaint/limitation with how you build in eso: you cannot change classes, but there is now subclassing where you can pull class lines from other classes. its not really much of an issue as you can just make more characters (vs ffxi where you have to pay for each character), and subclassing can get you the class line you probably want. aside from that, the variety of settings, quests, and interactions is completely unrivaled in the rest of the series (mostly because of the plethora of expansion packs). for perspective on this whole review, my first elder scrolls was daggerfall and i have a unending love for morrowind and oblivion. only thing its lacking is spears and levitation, but we do get medium armor and individual armor pieces back!
Havent even played it yet, and this is going to get a negative review from me already. So you're telling me the download size is 140 GB then when I finish downloading I have to download another 108 GB of updates? Naw, literally if you don't play this on Geforce now, you're taking up anywhere from 280 to 310 GB of space on your hard drive. For a single game. What... the.... hell.
