As a veteran of these types of games I died about 13 times during the tutorial fights, mostly losing due to rng. I am not playing it on a lower difficulty. I am refunding. That is absolutely ridiculous that they would start you in a multi-chain group of battles that are desgined like a boss fight, during hte tutorial. I am not going ot try to figure out your puzzle as to how YOU want me to solve your fight. Im out.

This is one of the most frustrating games I have ever played. I played on normal difficulty and stopped playing when I got to the "puzzle" stage. First off you are vastly outnumbered in most battles and enemy reinforcements pop out of nowhere, flanking your party. Bosses are much stronger than your characters and often have infinite lives. You need to do some kind of gimmick such as survive X turns or escape at the end of the map to win. There are too many gimmicks. The last stage I played involved hitting 5 pillars in order while enemies pound on you. You got no idea what the order is you just have to keep guessing. The graphics, music, and story are pretty good. I just do not like the gameplay.

Not sure I'd want to be full price for this, but if you can snag it during a sale it would be worth picking up. The game art style looks quite nice, and the gameplay itself is pretty decent, your standard tactical JRPG affair. The story is interesting, nothing overly mind blowing, but enough to keep you invested for at least one play through. The difficulty curve is a bit all over the place though, with some missions being a breeze to get through and others being incredibly challenging.
