I wish it had DLSS or framegen but it's not the end of the world. Game is good. I suggest playing at hard or very hard.
This is a top-notch world building game that focuses on simulating transportation systems. You configure planes, trains, buses and trucks in an evolving world starting from 1900. As the years tick by, cities are built for you as you supply them with goods and labor. City architecture evolves. Your domain of control is mostly limited to transport logistics - supply and demand, building airports, roads, rails, ports and other transportation infrastructure to move goods and people. You can play with the economy "on" or "off". If you play it with the economy "on", this is the actual "game". In this mode, you are playing with the transportation simulation operating under crushing, unforgiving economic pressures. If you succeed at becoming a tycoon in this environment, you will have an almost infinite supply of money to build anything you wish. If you fail to become the world's richest man, you will know it, because the game will deadlock your ability to buy (and therefore build) anything at all. This mode is really designed for the most advanced players. You either become rich and win, or become bankrupt and lose. The other form of play is to turn the economy "off" with a built-in mod. Developers recognized the difficulty of playing with the economy active, so they included this feature by default. In this mode of operation, money isn't a factor, and you can build anything you want. The game's simulation mechanics are a challenge unto themselves, and there are a lot of techniques and features to learn. So much so, that the act of learning how to make things work the way you want can take months to master. This mode is for "the rest of us", who are not expert players, and those who just want to design worlds without the baggage and restrictions of greed. So I, as a non-expert player, I can conditionally recommend this game only if you play with money "off", and play it as a transportation simulator, a world-building environment. It works well for streaming, and people learn by watching other people play.
I was expecting so much more from this game. Instead we got something that could have been an update to Transport Fever 2. One of the things that was highlighted for this game was the improved simulation, That improved simulation has absolutely no effect on game play other then adding more cars onto the road and dragging down pc performance. They added like a handful of new vehicles but not enough to feel like your are getting more compared to the last game. There are some improvements to mention like the updated menus and changes to line management. It is now much easier to make and edit routes now that you can just click on stops to either make a new line or add it to a line that is selected with having to change which line mode you are in. Your are also able to select cargos type with more ease but the game is still missing the option to set how much and what type of cargo is unloaded at each stop. The addition of industry improvements are also nice by adding more optimizations you can do but it does lead users to make tones of lines that may only contain a single bus that only has 2 stops. They also added new industries but again most of them you can see as mods for Transport Fever 2. I do like the new survey for industry but its only limited to one of each type per play through. It would be nice if you were given more through the subsidiaries which are also a nice addition to the game. The only problem I have with them is for the passenger transportation one you have to transport passenger from the city center to city center. You cant transport them out side of the city with buses to a trains station or a airport so you are forced to build these thing in the center of the cities ruining your sound and pollution. There also some new additions that I am more mixed on. One of those is the new delivery timer. Its a cool feature that encourages better lines but it depletes to quickly. Especially if you are gathering goods to a train station to maximize how much your trains are transporting. By the time you get enough goods together for the trains to full a lot of it is already expiring. Another thing that I'm unsure of are the landmarks. It would have been nice if the landmarks were more closely related to the option of town names you pick because it feels weird building the Eiffel Tower in a town called North Creek. Over all this game is not worth $50. Maybe closer to $30 or $20.

This game is really fun, I have never played Transport Fever before, so I have nothing to compare it to, it seems everyone writing a negative review is a long term enjoyer of the franchise, not to say that's a bad / good thing, but you know people love to downvote a new entry in any series just for the sake of it, without giving it a fair chance to develop and grow. As a blind player, I am very much enjoying this and can not wait to play for years to follow!

While most of the criticisms I've seen of this game have merit, it has not at all detracted from my enjoyment of this new installation. Performance has been completely solid. Looks like they've defaulted me to medium settings with my RTX3070, I couldn't imagine needing it to look any better so I will keep the 75+ fps I've been maintaining early game. My main gripe, and this may be an ignorance problem, is how seemingly abstract the supply/demand/production statistics seem to be. I'd certainly appreciate if anyone can point me to some good resources to finally figure it out.
