I never write reviews, in fact this is a first for me, but I wanted to express the gratitude I feel towards the creators of this game. I am not a game critic of any sort, I can only say I enjoyed the 2d animations and absolutely loved the pixel arts in cathartic moments of the story. What I really want to talk about though is the message it sends. I feared for what would happen in the finale of the main story, and found myself crying like a baby many times throughout the last few chapters. I said I am thankful because at some point the tears stopped flowing out of the emotion/pity/empathy I felt for the characters (and I would say this says much about how well characterized many protagonists are in this game) and instead were due to something deeper inside me. The story struck a nerve, something that I would not admit to myself, and made me think hard about many people and events in my life. I think everyone knows/has known darkness in their life, and this game portrays inner struggles and many common life experiences in an incredibly vivid and relatable way (at least for me). I don't think I could ever recommend this more, maybe not to the casual gamer who wants to laugh over something easy, but to whoever wants to feel something genuine and beautiful this is a must
beautifully done, so many tears omg
This is truly one of the best games you’ll ever play the shear amount of emotions you will feel in this game is something I’ve never felt before in a game. I never thought I’d ever write a review for a game but I can’t help myself it is a master piece from the conversations with people to the questions the game has you asking yourself, the game design is so simple and so beautiful the way the charters hair moves slowly in the wind in close ups to the way the sunsets over the ocean. The DLC is a must, I don’t think I’ll ever get over this game, I would recommend you listen to feverfew after you’ve played the DLC and just lie down and soak it all in. I’m glad that these people made this game, I will always think about it and the way it really does make you think about your own life situations and how they relate to the game. I really hope they make more games like this, it is truly a breathtaking experience
hell yeah
An absolutely amazing story about accepting grief and moving on, about two people who help each other move past their faults and live their lives
