Fun
Good
Loving this game. The combat feels and looks awesome. First person really is a nice spin on the genre. The platforming/parkour I wasn't expecting but it adds to the fun. The enemy placements feel like puzzles you get to solve with lots of fun things in the environment to assist you. Goes without saying but the art/graphics are beautiful too, sound design really nice, story Intriguing. A good, fun game, I hope it gets the attention it deserves.
Similar to Dishonored and Lies of P hybrid. Solid Game.
I played the demo pre 1.0 and it was promising, but rough around the edges. Playing the 1.0 release so far feels a lot smoother and polished. I wasn't initially super stoked about the first person aspect in a "soulslike" game, but it has definitely grown on me. It gives it that classic RPG charm while delivering that souls difficulty from a different perspective, offering a new feel and challenge in itself. The game is just a game. No hidden modern meanings. No BS. The atmosphere is a vibe. Dark and gritty. The feeling of despair and ruin oozes from the atmosphere immaculately. The levels seem decently thought out. Not too overly complicated or too shallow. The parkour movement mechanics are a nice touch and don't disconnect you with the game with how demanding they are. The game runs good on my PC. I can't say much more about the optimization, seeing as how my PC is extremely high end. The only thing I could say negatively is that the movement can feel a bit stiff while trying to strafe or change directions quickly and the depth perception of your character when fighting certain enemies can feel a little odd. The game is great honestly and I don't regret my purchase one bit. I highly recommend this gem, I unfortunately can't say the same for 90% of the other recent releases on my wishlist. I wish these small studio devs nothing but prosperity and hope this game gets the light it deserves.
