What a fantastic little treat of a surrealist action roguelike. The long-term progression occurs in the form of powerups that can drop in future runs. Each run feels fantastic relative to some other action roguelikes because the relative power level of the player character escalates quickly relative to enemies, making runs feel superb. Highly recommended.
Game is short but fun, the different skins and achievements mean you have reasons to replay it and the different upgrades and areas make it so that each playthrough feels different. Highly recommend if you like wave survival games, cant wait for what the devs have in mind for the future :)
This is a game which I would love to get more invested into but can't at the moment. As of the moment of this review, the game only has one mode, being a run of 3 levels lasting 12-14 minutes in total. In the steam nextfest demo I played, once you were done, you would be brought to an endless mode, and while it eventually got so chaotic that it crashed, it was very fun to see how far I could progress and how far the enemy count could go. Considering this, it is strange that an endless mode isn't available as a continuation of the main game mode. after 4 minutes in each level, a boss appears, there being 5 in total for you to find (to my knowledge), mainly parodying main enemies. Depending on the weapon and/or build you have, these bosses can go down exceptionally quickly, which I can assume to be intentional as I was only able to do this after a few unlocks. On the topic of unlocks, for me, many achievements were broken, and despite acquiring unlocks from said achievements, I did not unlock the achievements. I have yet to create a new profile in the game and try again, but it was slightly frustrating. The build variety is pretty nice, and depending on your avenue or weapon, the direction you take with how you play can vary between positioning, speed demon, or pure explosive damage. some weapons are better than others straight up, making enough sense considering these weapons are unlocks, but it would be nice to see upgrades that cater to certain weapons more or at least balancing. One I would do is with the cube, maybe an upgrade that increases damage the longer you aren't shooting, making a slow firing weapon like the cube become a heavy hitter and giving it some competition against the dagger. The variety of bosses in the first and second arena are wonderful, and can be extremely cool (talking about the nava wyrm :) ), but the final boss having only one variant is underwhelming, and makes the end of a run feel less enticing, reducing the interest in the player to continue more runs. This is a fun and quick roguelike that ticks a good few boxes, but not enough to make it last, which wouldn't be much of a problem if those missing boxes weren't already checked in the demo.
PRETTY GOOD YE

Cool game! It has potential BUT, i beat the game easily within 25 mins of starting (about 10 min of playing the demo) which is pretty dissappointing for me. The game is pretty easy and doesnt have any further difficulties, i also unlocked every item except one within 25 mins. Im giving a positive review because the game is good and i hope it gets better! But again i DO want more for this game and from it, especially for 6$. Normally 6$ is cheap for a game, but when you can unlock everything in it and beat it easily within 25 mins its just not exactly worth it
