WORLD OF HORROR

Writing a positive review to balance out the whinners complaining that this game is a 'cash grab.' The game is made by a solo indie dev named Panstasz, and for the amount of updates this game has received over the years, **free** updates, the dev has done a fantastic job, and gamers just seem angry that he has a career (dentist) outside of game development. World Of Horror is a love letter to horror manga, literature, and the whole horror genera. And I've had so much fun playing the game and seeing the different influences that Panstasz drew upon while creating the game's stories and events. Are some things still not fully fleshed out? Yes. At full price do you still get your moneys worth? Absolutely yes. Unlocking new characters, unlocking New Old Gods, replaying stories to try and get a different ending, and if you're willing to learn how then the game is moddable and you can create and add your own monsters and characters. The game has hours upon hours of replayability built into it.

I don't know how to feel about this game. The mechanics are satisfying, and I enjoy the storyline. But it feels unfinished and there isn't good value for what you're getting. There's only one storyline, and sure, you can replay and experience different events in different orders, but there isn't THAT much replayability. I don't feel that it was worth the sale price, and I wouldn't consider it at full price. I could have bought 4 burgers for $20.

Really love the game and the concept. I have pretty good memory and I actually have fun recalling some knowledge of events that I saw in the past. And at the start of each playthrough you analize what route you should pick for example to loot a free weapon or to save money, it's so thrilling. And the atmostphere! So inspiring and quirky! Also really nice combat system. There some bugs for example if you save a combat sequence with team attack, you sometimes can load it in battles where it is prohibited. I can only recommend the game, but at the start it will be not as easy to pick up because of a unique experience and a large set of opions even without booster packs that are unlocked by completing achievements. Also must notice a wide variety of characters and all of them perform differently.
