Steam Game Gift or Steam Wallet Gift Card?
There are two ways to get a Steam game in Sri Lanka from VaultX.lk. You can buy the game itself, which we send to your account as a Steam gift, or you can buy a Steam gift card, which adds Steam Wallet credit you spend on Steam yourself. Both are priced in rupees and can be paid in 3 interest-free installments with Koko or 4 with Payzy.
A Steam game gift
Pick the game in the Store, pay, and we send that game to your Steam account as a gift. You accept the gift in Steam and the game stays in your library like any other purchase. Delivery is usually within 3 hours of payment and 24 hours at the most.
Your Steam account needs to meet three rules for a game gift:
- It must be at least 1 year old, or have spent at least USD $5 on Steam.
- Its region must be set to Sri Lanka.
- You need to be able to add VaultX as a Steam friend, or give a valid Steam Friend Code at checkout.
The Steam buying guide walks through every step.
A Steam gift card
A Steam gift card adds Steam Wallet credit to your account. You choose the amount and the region, and then spend the credit on the Steam store yourself. Gift cards are delivered digitally, usually within a few hours of payment.
Steam Wallet credit only works on an account set to the matching region, so choose the region of your own Steam account before you pay.
Which one should I buy?
| Steam game gift | Steam gift card | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | One game (or edition, DLC or bundle) in your library | Steam Wallet credit to spend yourself |
| Good for | You know exactly which game you want | You want to choose later, or buy several smaller items |
| Price | The game's own LKR price on its page | The LKR price of the card amount you pick |
| Delivery | Steam gift, usually within 3 hours | Digital, usually within a few hours |
| Account needs | Sri Lanka region, the age or spend rule, VaultX as a friend | The card's region must match your account |
Can I get a refund?
Not once it is delivered. A Steam game gift counts as fulfilled once it is sent to your account, and a gift card cannot be reversed once delivered, so check the game, the amount and the region before you pay. The refund policy has the full rules.
